Well I guess even if we make peace or fight, take our cue from all fantasy and sci-fi humans always mess the situation up or at least do so many times to not be possibly to ignore. Then of course we have to go back and fix it also.

But if aliens attacked us, now I assume they'd have to be sufficiently advanced to have hidden themselves, or come from a long way away so we are probably in trouble either way.

Anyway, no, I have a lot of issues with our design. A number of issues with our eyes such as lack of heat vision, the lack of an optimal arrangement of cells in retina (seriously, bipolar cells and ganglions can suck mah balls) and they're too vulnerable (I suggest adamantium eyelashes).
Also, seriously, appendix, wtf! Same goes for the coccyx.
Also genetically too complex, we should cut out a load of the useless crap, I suggest an RNA code as it seems optimal.
Also we should have a chitinous carapace.

Human's haven't really gone far from Earth, so we aren't significant in the grand scale of the universe. But we probably are the smartest things in a few lightyears. Except for dolphins. Nothing's smarter than dolphins.

We are pretty good if we are fulfilled and not obsessed with social acceptability, though that last part's kinda hard to reach.
