He's a smart guy, but his strong Nintendo bias strongly effects his points. He can be horribly wrong because of that bias, to the point where he seems like nothing more than a smug bastard. And really, it's annoying when he points out that Sony and Microsoft aren't pure gaming companies, like it actually matters.

Bob's opinion of a film and my own seem to align maybe 50% of the time, so he's basically a worthless coin toss. Also, his opinions on non movie related things, like religion, or his distaste for certain movie/game audiences makes me want to slap his "open-minded" face.

Honestly, I find him annoying.

I only liked the expendables for pure on action and 80's recreation. You know what he did? He called me some unintelligant asshole. Even when I knew for a fact the movie was meant to totally be like the movie "Commando" with Sylvester Stallone.
He also has to be right about everything. It's as if HE was trying to be the "Purifier". He's no teacher, he's a menace.
Wow, what an ass

I like him. He seems like a guy with an opinion. And he doesn't say anything opinionated as fact. His shows are meant to create reaction or thought. He's a smart guy, and he's got a lot to say. And I respect what he says because he doesn't proclaim it as fact.
Plus, he likes Nintendo. With him all the way there.

I like him but, he tends to regard anyone who doesn't share the same opinion as him as an idiot.

Also he needs to fact check a lot more on his Game Overthinker videos.

Since I already visit the Esapist on a weekly basis due to Zero Punctuation and the adventures of the lovely Erin Stout in Critical Miss, I follow MovieBob's shows aswell.

He helps me to keep tabs on upcoming films and is in my eyes a valid critic. Our tastes in films has on numerous occastions been alike - we both disliked films based on the same reasons and were impressed by other films for reasons we apparently both agreed on. That is of course not to say that I haven't disagreed with him on other occations but he usally makes his argument clear so I at least understand his why he thinks as he does though without necessarily agreeing with him.

I think he's a biased idiot. More of a paid troll, he just bitches about First person shooters and how Halo promotes stupidity, and claims how everything would be peachy and fine if Nintendo monopolizes the business and how sony and microsoft are evil demons that need to be vanquished by the power of true childhood that is carried by nintendo.

He also carries the illusion that his opinion is the only right one.

Bob is a smart guy, no doubt about that.

But he's got such tunnelvision, it's unbelievable...and unbearable.

I find Escape to the Movies to be good and informative, and I find The Big Picture to be interesting. Never watched Game Overthinker.

However, you think negative comments were bad after Extra Credits, you should have seen them after his True Grit when he named his three favourite films of 2010 as The Social Network, Scott Pilgrim, and Kick-Ass.
Inception and Toy Story 3 fans...were not amused...let's just leave it at that.

I enjoy anything he does that doesn't no involve video games.

He just slips into his Nintendo fanboy far to easily. And after he flat out called people out for enjoying first person games in general I unsubscribed him on youtube.

Anyone trying to voice their opinion/predictions as a valid fact or something we should all follow I tend to avoid.

Why I never liked extra credits.

He is the opposite of Extra Credits.

He talks only to flame others. That gives him his strength. It's kinda sad really.

His good ideas are clouded by his need to stand out in a crowd.

He lost my trust/interest after his holyier than tho lecture at gamers being fat, he told us to snack on carrots, and what did he do? He couldn't even practice what he preached.

Then the whole comparison to 'Hitlers Master Race' thing for Halo was just a feeble attempt to gain attention. IT WORKED BIG PICTURE PEOPLE!!

Flame Bait should be dealt with by the Mods. But they are protective of their own.

Movie Bob can only exist because he takes an over the top view of everything. He goes out of his way to find controversy in the mundane. He stretches and bends to get what he wants out of anything... as long as he sounds controversial, and uses words over the 10th grade level.

That, and he complains about having to do his job, the movie review part anyways.... suck it up. Quit if you aren't happy.

Oh wait, complaining about work is what people want to hear.... never mind. Movie Bob is right where he needs to be.

But I don't like him/it.
Basically this for me, minus point #4. Replace that with his constant nintendo fellating and this is basically me.

Edit: Oh wow this topic? I should really pay more attention to the post dates @_@

Mind you, his stuff before Screwattack is still good. If i had to put my finger on it, i'd say on his other m defense, when he said that if you hate other m you are racist or along those lines, is when it all went downhill for me.

I used to like him, but now he sucks in the most pretentious, egotistical, unironic professional trollish way possible. I hope someone breaks into his house and steals all his filming equipment. Or just sets it on fire.

I love the big picture. He introduced me to lou ferrigno's Hercules.
On the other hand I stoped watching the game overthinker when he started with the whole "I'play all the characters in my inmaginary self glorificating make belive show".
Also he can be a prick in other ways like the last The big picture episode.

Still, he is on my good side because of all the weird stories for the big picture.
