Unless... someone helps me on this forum by telling me the storyline ending in WoW!

Pwetty pwease (you'll get a special cookie!)
The elves joined the Horde and that was where I stopped reading and decided that I would never touch WoW.

I figure $15 a month is perfectly fine if you've got the money to spare. Though I'd prefer something a little lower. $8-$10. But that's because it all adds up after a while. ;P 15x12=$180. That is the price of one year of game play. A fair bit of cash you could spend on something else. I DO enjoy my WoW though. Need to renew my subscription...

A bit high, in my humble opinion. They need to lower it to $10 monthly (or $8/month with 6 month subscription) for me to even CONSIDER going back. The way WoW is right now, its just not worth it. Its a boring grind fest for $15/month.
Get the multiple month card things and it equals out to 10 bucks a month. And you can "suspend" your account till a later day if you wanna take a break and still keep your time.

They're just about right; the game requires a lot of maintenence and the makers deserve to make money off something so well designed. Wishing it lower is for personal reasons.
More or less this. There are some annoying problems, and I wish they'd stop lowering the minimum level for mounts (In my day we had to grind 100 gold at level fourty and we liked it! Or rather we didn't, but we just want other people to suffer too) but all in all I enjoy playing it, while I do wish it were cheaper, as I'm skint, I'm not complaining too much.

In my area, the monthly fee wouldn't even get me a movie, popcorn, and a drink at the local movie theater, so I've got no problem with it. It's all context I guess.

Id lower the price to $10 a month and also open up the game to more options for people who want to solo more. Still leave the group and raiding quests for people who like it, just make the same content available for the more often than not solo player like myself. Change the drops or something so the MMO purists don't get their panties in a twist.

Doesn't bother me now because I don't play, and it didn't bother em when I played because I was paying for a great time. Doesn't hurt your wallet much imo

To have to pay for a game to keep playing it I feel is just embarassing especially a game that came out in 2004. As a gamer it makes me feel like blizzard just sees me as a walking, talking wallet.

If they are going to charge money they should at least make it fun.

It WOULD be just right, if they spent that money on working on their two upcoming games (diablo 3 and starcraft 2) but instead they are taking a horribly slow time with them, so i think its an overcharge.

The cheaper the better really, i mean when is getting something a little cheaper not a good thing? Though $15 a month i think is fair and pretty standard as far as "higher end" MMO's go.
To some people of course it's not worth it, but really it doesn't matter because i really don't see Bliz dropping the price anytime soon. They should however as a sign of good faith release a FREE expansion pack for once. It's only polite.

I don't really understand the position that WoW is too expensive.

To do well at the game, you need to play so much that the price per hour which results from the subscription is totally negligible. If you play 10 hours a week (which isn't even much by MMO standards, I believe), you end up paying roughly 30 cents an hour. Just how is that too much for entertainment?

The other position which makes sense (and which I personally subscribe to) is that the game isn't worth the time. If Blizzard paid me 30 cents an hour, I still would not play.

I find it a bit high; if I had more disposable income and time I might resubscribe. Yet, I think the amount of content and updating they do is decent justification.

But, consider that eHarmony is more expensive, and that is mainly just a databasing system with ongoing running processes with little updating and development (though there is their advice site to maintain, not sure if the writers get paid for that, though some of them write articles to plug books).

I don't think he's talking about subscription prices. The true price paid for WoW is a happy normal future involving real tits and children.

i think it is a bit overpriced, but its low enough to the point that people still buy it so i think from their end its just right
