I think Will Ferrell is funny especially in Blades of Glory, probably my favorite movie of his just for some of the lines. Chazz Michael Michaels was a hilarious character, also the only skater to win 4 national championships and an adult film award.
Sometimes I like watching stupid humor and Will Ferrell is pretty good at stupid humor.

I have mixed feelings about will ferrel. He's done alot of movies i hate like taladaga nights. He seems to be part of this movement of unfunny movies about strange pricks that folks seem to enjoy these days. If you don't know what i'm talking about just think of any movie staring ben stiller. this movement is killing comedy and i dispise any actor thats a part of it.
On the other hand Will Ferrel has also done a few things that i find truely excellent. Stranger than Fiction saw him playing a very subuded role compared to his other films. rather than being loud and obnoxious he plays a quite sensitive chracter that i enjoyed watching.
He was also halarious in the remake of The Producer, of course if Mel Brooks couldn't make him funny then no one could.
So unlike hacks like owen willson or ben stiller who have proven time and again that all they make is akward or annoying shit, Will Ferrel is capable of great things. He just needs to start picking better movies. He has a new one coming out that i can't remeber the name of but it seems like a spoof on cop buddy films so will see how that turns out.

I think he sometimes tries too hard to be funny simply by making loud noises and acting weirdly. The only thing that he's done that's made me laugh hard is the way he stabbed himself in the leg in That Film With The Really Awkward Name That I Can't Remember Right Now.
