Now I couldnt do better if I was camping because my KD is typically 20 something to about 10 or in that area. Camping in 1 spot would see my kill count halve because everyone else is running and gunning and people who camp 1 spot repeatedly soon find their Death count double their kill count once that spot becomes flagged. Good use of Flash bangs or concuss grenades soon wrecks campers once they are outted whereas staying mobile on medium / big maps makes you MUCH harder to pin down.

once again, Camping is a poor tactic employed by no skill cowards too scared to leave their playpen and play with the rest of us.

They fucked up the campaign so much. It takes place in the 60s, and somehow they're using weapons from the mid-late 70s. Plus, as ZP said, when you think of black ops, you thing of stealth. I was hoping there would be some, but there was just none.

precisely, add to that the utterly implausible scenarios, blaming the Nazis and having to kill British special forces.. I'm rather glad I sold the game.

[edit] also lets not forget the weapons that aren't real (underslung flamethrower), are misnamed (SPAS-12 - the semi-automatic version is called the LAW-12) or have no tactical use whatsoever (dragons breath rounds)

Actually the law-12 is semiauto only whereas the spas can be both semi and pump action. Pumping is used for non lethal rounds as it's more reliable with those. I'll give the ridiculous story (but at least coherent which is more than MW2 ever did) and unrealistic weapons, but I never exactly wen't to CoD for realism. And of course they didn't add a lot of stealth, that's like complaining GoW 2 (either translaton for that abbreviation works) didn't play like Splinter Cell.

OT: I'd like to see more campaign stuff. The multiplayer maps are fine, but for $15 I think it should be a bit more substantial than that. Many some zombie maps that are winnable, like say it ends in victory after completing an objective of some kind.

Id love to see a patch that breaks the AK-74u so all the brain damaged losers who use it have to find a gun that isnt gimped and learn how to play the game. I should imagine if they do break the 74u there will be a mass exodus of players saying the game has become shit and a huge increase in the number of people playing Reach.

I dont have enough experience with the 1st MW to comment on its multi but tbh MW2s multi was only slightly worse that repeatedly getting kicked in the balls.

I run around and make myself a mobile target while hunting other players, if I die to some ass wipe who has been sitting in 1 corner for 20 minutes with his scope on the only door into the room I think it is 100% justified to say he should go play runescape with all the other people too gutless to come out and fight in an open field.

Its typicall "ARGH I deserved that because I was camping" or "I shouldnt have been camping, I had that coming,"

I openly admit I deserved to get owned when I camp and I dont hate the guy for killing me when I do, do it on those rare occassions I stop moving. I'm extremely impatient in games and hate not being in the middle of the action.

Camping will most often net you more kills, less deaths and in objective based games it will more often than not protect the objective.

So how is that bad? If you are running around like an idiot, thats your fault. Don't blame people for taking advantage of your shortcomings.

Camping to protect the HQ, flag and bomb sites, fair enough thats encouraged and I have done it. Camping in Death match and any variant of is laughable.

Last time I checked in gaming terms Smgs were close quarters weapons with the long shots falling to the Assault rifles and Snipers.

Well, funny thing is, the AK74u is misclassified in every CoD game. It fires the 5.45X39mm round, making it an assault rifle. So it would make sense that it can fire that far (not that it isn't a bit overpowered though, I'm with you on that one).

yeah it is irritating. The damn thing is too strong and everyone uses it. Hence why I prefer my Famas or Galil for their medium ranged versatility.

Are you really saying that that a game series based in high octane violence would do better if they changed it to a different genre altogether? I don't pretend that all games series should stay exactly the same with every sequal, but I also don't think it should be so radically different that if it wasn't for the title you would never know it was part of the series. And even if someone did show you the title you'd think they were just really good with photoshop.

difference of opinion is usually a 1/10 difference not 5/10. most of the reviews i've read (various magazines/websites) quote the graphics, gameplay and story as top class when its anything but.

the only half decent thing is the multiplayer but a game should not be reviewed on that alone.

The reason I think adding guns is a bad idea is because those guns may destroy whatever semblance of balance there is already. Plus it would take extra work to make those additional guns (unless they are already in the game, like the Shotgun from Vorkuta), and with Kotick involved, that would mean a even higher price for DLC.

So its mostly a balance issue, which even if BO MP isnt balanced that well, would just destroy it even more.

You're missing the point, if they add extra weapons they have to offer the weapons for free to everyone it would need to be an update or else multiplayer wouldn't work. If it was paid dlc then people would have missing textures, models, and parameters for the guns which essentially would cause errors if not everyone had it downloaded. Why wouldn't they just make it an update but make you pay to unlock the gun you say? Well, what is stopping anyone from picking up the gun off of a dead enemy? Free content never hurt anyone, and I dont think they could make anything too overpowered...

Too bad it wont happen because Bobby Kotick is a douche, and wants toilet paper made out of hundred dollar bills.

Right which to anyone who reads that comes out as "you failed and are blaming others" where the reality is I was playing the game as it was designed to be played (Ie using the sprint function at least 5 times a game as opposed to the campers who dont even know it exists) and these failed abortions were tucked into the corner showing no skill.
