I honestly thought that Fallout New Vegas had a well defined moral system take the Legion for example at a first glance they are the evil equivalent to Nazi's (well almost) but if you explore the faction and every bodies opinion on it you can see that they could possible do some good to New Vegas (and some bad) and vice versa with NCR. Really what I truly desire is that Fallout move to England with the same era themes but English. However, I know that is not what Fallout exactly is. But for now boot Obsidian far, far, far, far away and just make what you have been making taking parts from all the fallout games.

What do I want in the next Fallout installment? A button that allows me to simultaneously smack every Interplay fanboy over the head at once when they complain about it. *puts up flameshield*

Seriously, none of them are perfect. Not even the originals, and for the record I've liked EVERY Fallout game I've played (with the exception of BoS and Tactics). Honestly, who cares about developed it? There were certain things in 1 and 2 that I liked and things in 3 and New Vegas that I've liked. Conversely, there were things in both the Interplay and Bethesda games that I've hated.

I'm not going to hate another game in a series simply because it was developed or published by a different studio. I'll play it before I do that.

Though, to stick with the topic, I'd like to see motorcycle mounts like I've seen in some New Vegas mods. That'd be pretty sweet...

I don't think that Fallout would work as well in a different location. While it's an interesting idea, it seems more suited to a spin-off than a game in the main series. The problem comes down to the fact that Fallout is irrevocably tied to the American cold-war era view of nuclear war and the culture of that time period.
It would be possible to do a Fallout game in a different location. In fact, I think it could be an amazing game. America is not really the most interesting place in the world... However, the game would need to take a completely different approach. The American viewpoint simply would not make sense stylistically in Europe or Asia. It would need to have major changes to the thematic elements of the game, which I feel would alienate a lot of players if it was Fallout 5. Thus, a spin-off makes sense to me.

1. More gun diversity and deeper weapons system
2. Mounts. I want a Dirt Bike!
3. More monsters out in the wasteland.
4. More large settlements. 2-3 is too little.

Are you joking? Have you found Test Site? Or the Devil's Gullet(I think it was called; the big toxic waste dump, with the guy wearing a party hat who made his last stand against Mutants)?

Or the Lake Meade Cave? That last one was AMAZING! I swam in there expecting a fuckfest of Lakelurk murder......but it's just one huge beautiful Underwater grotto with awesome scenery. Completely pointless, but just beautiful.

I found a lot less of those places in FO3 in fact. There were a lot of arbitrary towns, subway stations and car parks (seriously WHY are car parks a landmark) that served no purpose.....but they weren't fascinating either.
yes i had found all of those, but there were alot more in FO3, also i didnt find any of the vaults particularly interesting in NV, nor were there enough ghouls or super mutants for my taste :(
I'll give you the ghouls, but NOT the mutants. I really liked the idea of Underworld in FO3, and I really liked the idea of Jacobstown in New Vegas. So they cancel out.

And if you mean they didn't give you enough ghouls and mutants to kill.......well, again, I would give you the ghouls (though I didn't mind that tbh). But there was Black mountain, crawling with muties, so no, they gave you plenty of mutants to kill.

The vaults.....maybe. They had a few interesting vault ideas (like the one IN the strip; I thought that was a very clever experiment), but I think FO3 may have had more.

Other places? Totally disagree. Very few of the random places (not connected to main quest in any way) blew me away, notable exceptions being Oasis and that tower that dropped Nukes around it.....for....some reason. Main quest areas were pretty cool like Little lamplight and Rivet city.....but those don't count :p

a plot.

and yes, i played the game

and ZERO dependance on DLC to flesh the game out. not that fallout new vegas had that, but it's becoming an annoying trend

I can safely say all the above would be nice even if to just a certain degree. I think less buggy and more refined around the edges takes the cake of what I want. Though I still have one very very shallow complaint...but its something that really was a deal breaker for me in NV....get Three Dog (or at least a comperable dj/music) back! Bad enough that NV had kinda a shitty story after a while, bad enough that the game crashed on me about every hour, bad enough that the hardcore mode was less of challenge and more of a chore...but the radio just sucked so I didnt even have a half crazed dj with crooning 20s-30s music to listen to as I got stomped by deathclaws.

Can we start by wishing for it to not suck :). I know thats too much to ask, but here's a short list of improvements that would have kept me playing instead of forsaking the game.
1. NPCs that stay in one place and have infinite money/supplies/whatever. If you can take infinite dmg/radiation/whatever there should be an infinite amount of countermeasures.
2. NPCs simulating life is fine in theory, but when I want to return a quest I don't want to have to run around the city to find them.
3. Get rid of the karma it is stupid.
4. Leave it in America. I like to pretend when I watch disaster movies, post apocalyptic ones and similar, to believe they are all happening in America, while the rest of the world is OK and are blissfully ignoring the Americans and their miserable problems.
5. Never repeat the childhood thing again.
6. Have some tutorials. (I might have just missed them).
7. Have better looking features to choose from, when creating a character. Might be just me, but all of them looked horrible.
8. Have more than 20lvls for the character. Seriously even WoW started with 60. In Warcraft 3 you could have heroes only up to level 10, but you could have more than one at a time.
9. Give us more points to spend per level.
10. Give us an easy to use Unlearning System/Respec system. (If I have just missed it, it should be more obvious)
I probably can think of more things, but I won't waste anymore time on it.

I'd like to see Holland half submerged and as a sciety on the water. Further, a more personal story would be nice, I'm sick of being a 'courier' with no identity. I mean, come on, don't be afraid to give him some personality.

One thing that really annoyed me about New Vegas was the imbalance in faction-themed loot. In the spirit of role-play, I rolled two characters that I played as polar opposites: there was the Guns specialist who always sided with the NCR and used good karma options, and there was the Melee/Hand-to-hand user who was downright evil in tight with the Legion. The plan was that each one would use weapons and armour corresponding to the faction they sided with, but that never worked out; the NCR guy had a massive stack of high quality Legion armour and weapons from all the bad guys he'd killed but next to nothing that was actually of use to a sniper build, and of course the light armour and melee combat oriented Legion fighter couldn't do much with a pile of NCR Power Armour and high-powered rifles. The only way to get the gear fitting each character would be to slaughter members of their own faction, which seemed to really defeat the purpose of the whole role-play experience.

NB I was playing on a PS3, so I can't use any console exploits.

I really like the idea of modifiying your weapons, but what I don't want is the entire landscape to be in that fucking putrid shade of greenish-gray.

I would really like for the game not to be so dependend on the VATS. I know you can play without it but it seemed a lot more difficult.
And no, I don't want it to be a Call of Duty clone, it's just the way I would like to play it.

More RPG, less shooter, I say. Make skill affect firearm accuracy, not firearm damage. I hated the fact that, with base guns skill, I was able to pick up a sniper rifle and pick a target off at near max range with a clean headshot, first try. That simply should not be.

Also, rework weapon and armor maintenance. Using up a weapon to repair another of the same type is convenient, but ridiculous. If they can't be bothered to break it down by components, then at least reduce us to repair kits and such.

...and yeah, I voted that hardcore mode should be more hardcore. Fewer easy healing options and enhanced effects from crippled limbs would be nice.
Also, canteens. I realize that makes it easier, but it only makes sense.

None of the above.

What I want: Stop locking up my PS3 with your horrible memory leaks.
Also: DLC should be released for ALL PLATFORMS SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Until then, I'm probably not buying anything from Bethesda, yet alone another Fallout title.
