Poll: What drugs have you taken?

I'm taking a prescription drug called Zoloft.

I remember when I was younger I took other kinds of pills, but I don't remember what they were called.

Alcohol, Tobacco (smoker), Marijuana, LSD, Ecstasy, Speed.
I've had DMT, which is essentially a smokeable LSD with no comedown. Really interesting.
My motto is basically "don't do anything which you snort, sniff, inject or shove up your ass."

That is a fine motto. If only most idiots would hear of this before injecting substances into their body.

Whats wrong with IM/V, rectal and nasal ROA's? Or is it just the stigma's attached to them? The irony is smoking is by far the most fiendish ROA, least healthiest choice by far.

I was referring to the main offenders, being injection (heroin), nasal (cocaine), and pretty much everything I would prefer to keep away from my bum.

Pretty straightforward, it's really all in the title.
As for me, I've had (in the order that I tried them):

Alcohol
Tobacco
Marijuana
MDMA & MDEA + some I don't remember there was lots of that one (Ecstasy)
Amphetamine (Speed)
Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)
Ether
and my personal favourite
Dimethyltriptamine (DMT)
and there's also the things that were apparently in some of the ecstasy I took:
ketamine
heroin
methamphetamine

Hey, I want to ask some advice about marijuana. I'm 16 and im considering trying some weed at some point in the future. I don't intend to be a heavy smoker or anything, just a small amount occasionally. What do I need to know before I try, how will I know i won't have some adverse reaction to the stuff etc. Just some basic precautions

all you really need is a pipe of some kind and some water for when your mouth goes dry there is really no adverse reaction you can have except greening out but that only happens if you smoke too much too fast so don't do that

Never tried any of it. I once had a sip of alcohol by accident, but it nearly made me vomit.

By the way, OP, how does it feel being a total drug addict?

I am a drug user not an addict there's a difference, and the only drug I use now is marijuana.

Edit: oh and one last thing, I'd heavily advise against smoking it with tobacco. This seems to be a very british thing, so I dunno if it'll apply to you, but smoke it on its own. Tobacco is very carcinogenic and makes weed feel fucking horrible.

Not per se if you take self rolled tabacco it usually ruins the taste of weed I can agree on that. But if you take the tabacco out of cigarettes you can still taste the weed pretty good and pretty much all long time smokers I know roll their joints that way.

I disagree with both of you. I find the best way to smoke a joint is with self-rolled tobacco. Much smoother and tastier smoke. I can't hack smoking cigarette tobacco though, dunno why, I just hate it. I will of course smoke a purie if its offered but rolling tobacco is preferable.

What is the appeal of taking mind-altering drugs? I just don't get it. Now tack on the fact that most of them are illegal, unhealthy, and expensive makes it mind boggling why people want to do it. So you get high for a day. Big whoop. Go have sex or something, it's just as good.

Exactly because it's mind altering. It's fun to get a different perspective on reality now again. I also know a few people who would claim MDMA is better than sex, but I have a hard time believing that one. However, it certainly feels fucking amazing. Different strokes for different folks, YMMV, and so on.

Also, where's this idea that taking drugs somehow equals virginity and celibacy? I'm utterly confused by that. Like taking a roll means I've never gotten laid? wtf does this come from? It comes up a lot.

With regards to ianrocks, not all drug experiences are limited to the day that you took them. I certainly know that i'll always remember the fantastic experience of acid which has changed my view of everything, undoubtedly for the better.

Also, not all drugs are incredibly expensive. Compare acid with alcohol and you'll realise that you can spend 5 pounds for a tab of acid which will last you a good 8-10 hours or you can spend that 5 pounds buying a couple of pints at the pub. I know which I would choose every single time.

I drink some times, thats about it.
Against all drugs except Marijuana in regulation, know some people in pain who uses it as medication.
Even though its illegal.

Rest I'm pretty hard on, i think drug addicts are the scum of the earth.
And by that i mean the smack addicts etc, the reason for my negativity traces back to when i was 10.
I witnessed an addict shooting up in the middle of Oslo, blood gushing down his arm.

I guess fear turned to utter despise.

I pretty much agree with this.

Crack is the drug to take if you want to ruin your life, Heroin is the one you take if you want to end it.

I'm not against marijuana though, because it's actually LESS dangerous than alcohol (seriously, alcohol is pretty bad, something that kills judgment AND increases aggression? Gee, winning combination there)

I'm not against alcohol, I just think it's worse than pot.
