Poll: What games are better than Bioshock?

To me Bioshock is up there with Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Legacy of Kain/Soulreaver, Fallout, and Half-Life 2 for games that's gameplay and story drove me to sleepless nights and several playthroughs.

That's pretty much the exact list of titles I would have used if I was making such a list, kudos.

As for the original point, it really depends on how you are defining "better". Better how exactly? Bioshock is clearly the best game at being Bioshock - a much better question would be whether Bioshock deserves the critical acclaim it received, not whether it's "the best", as everyone's notion of what constitutes being the best is going to be different. At the very least narrow down what exactly it's supposed to be better than.

Bioshock.....it is not in my top ten list. I didn't like it all to be honest.
I have played worse though, I am not going to lie.

I have never played Bioshock so I can't compare but my favourite games are The Orange Box and CoD4

SS2 came long before Bioshock. and Bioshock is it´s spiritual sequel.

on topic, i havent either of the games. but, i already know, they both suck compared to Heroes of Might and Magic 3. i havent seen the mere shadow of anything close to its awesomeness.

I loved Bioshock! I got it about a week ago and it's awesome! With it's cool powers and guns and how it made you have to think on your values (little Sisters.) Probably 8 on my top 10 list. I don't even like 1 player shooters and I liked this game, but my fav is still Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I judge a game based off of how much I play it and I just beat it once and never touched it again. If you ask me Burnout Paradise Is a much better game couse I have logged a ton of time on that game.

I wouldn't call Bioshock the best ever... But it is one of my all time favorites for any system. I'm a rabid fan-boy; I just get intoxicated off of everything for Bioshock. The story, the look, the philosophy, the satisfaction of beating in a splicer's skull with a wrench while they scream in agony from a thousand bees stinging them to death (How does that even work? Are there bees evolving from stem cells in your arm or something?). But I can perfectly understand why some people just don't like it. I play Halo and I just feel underwhelmed. Different tastes for different people, y'know?

The Darkness destroys Bioshock. Everyone should play The Darkness and experience its awesomeness lol.

I played for a while and got incredibly bored, so I quit. To be honest, my favorite game ever would probably be Assassin's Creed.

Same. I just never quite "got" Bioshock. And although Assassin's Creed isn't my favourite game its still a lot better than people give it credit for. They say it was repatitious but i was having way too much fun too notice.
