What Gender do you play as in an MMO or any game really and why?
this is of course not refering to games where you have to play as a certian character. Im talking games like Fable 2, WoW, Oblivion where being a gender changes nothing. Personally i always play as a male...why? because i was a nightelf preist in WoW once....my dad walked in....he looked at the screen and walked out....im just not comfertable pretending to be a girl on the internet...kinda creepy in my opponion. what about you guys?/girls?/....others?

I usually play as a guy, but that's because I'm a guy.

I'll switch to a girl after my second playthrough or so.

I'll be a male at first to get into the story. Then i'll go back and play as a female getting both sides of the spectrum.

Usually a male, unless he looks completely ugly. then I'll pick female.

I'll also usually pick female on the second playthrough, just because I like playing through completely different so that I can see all of the content.

For some odd reason, only male. I have started to choose female before, but what happens is I like to get into the games I'm playing and I can't take it serious if I play as a girl.

I usually play male first but have no objections to playing female characters and in some games after the first time I never play as a male twice.

Though I never play MMO's

Ass rule... simple as that... If I'm going to be staring at someone's behind while I play then it should at least be mildly appealing. The dude option doesn't work that way for me :/. I don't pretend to be female just because of the character, and the way I talk generally gives it away before I have to say it anyway.

In the case on multiple characters, I'll take at least one of each since there may be a gameplay mechanic that associates your gender into it.

Ya, but when I play like... lets say a tomb raider game. It really gets distracting to me, but I understand what you're saying.

I dont know why, but i just cant take ANYTHING seriously if im a Female character. Therefore im always Male. Unless the Male's shoulders are too big. Best not to look too far into that.

2. Female - To see differences and mix it up

I'll start out as a guy and try to play a character similar to myself, then I'll give it a go as a female.

Usually female since I am female. One in a while I will play as a guy if it fits the character more.
