Subway for general consumption. Quizno's used to be the best sub joint, but then they started using cheaper meats while keeping the same high prices for it and lost their business for it.
Sonic for fried foods, whenever I can get to one. They're very difficult to find out here on the east coast. Burger King also sometimes has very good burgers, and I actually prefer their fries to McDonald's. I've never been to an In-n-Out Burger.
For pizza, I generally avoid Pizza Hut (odd-tasting sauce) and Domino's (for tasting like bad frozen store-bought pizza) and eat at local restaurants. One of the great things about living on the east coast is having a good pizza place right next to a good pizza place.
For Chinese, I've enjoyed what I've had at Panda Express, though it doesn't compare to a good dim sum place. I stay away from Taco Bell for Mexican and go for Chipotle and Moe's. Moe's has better non-meat ingredients, but they oversalt their meats. Chipotle is more even in terms of quality, but they don't reach the heights of Moe's because of it.
I'm not a big fan of KFC when it comes to fried chicken, and eat at Popeye's more often even though their non-biscuit sides suck to the point of no return.
