Jimmy John's. It takes them around 20 seconds to make your sandwich, and it's somewhere between two and a million times better than Subway. Also, they deliver.

Definitely Chik-fil-a. I've never gotten anything but mouth-burning food there, the service is great (many places even have employees refill your drinks for you like at a sit-down restaurant), and the lemonade is like crack to me. They even invented the chicken sandwich!

Honorable mentions include:
KFC
Steak and Shake
A&W

Taco Bell is disgusting, if you're looking for good fast Mexican you can't go wrong with Taco Time, which is probably only in Washington, Oregon and Idaho which is tough luck for anyone where they don't have one.

Can't really point out a best one over all though, I'll go wherever sounds good at the time, except Taco Bell because that crap is disgusting, and the last time I went into one they had some snaggle toothed crackhead behind the counter.
It's in Iowa too mate.

My favorite fast food restaurant is Jimmy Johns. I just love their sandwiches so much, and their chips are DELICIOUS!

I prefer a little place called Boogie Burger. As far as I'm aware, there's only one of them in Indianapolis. Little hole in the wall burger joint that seats 20 at most. Best freakin' burger I've ever had.

For a more widespread fast food, I really like Qdoba. It's basically the Subway of mexican food, and I take it over Taco Bell whenever I'm able.

Of course, most decent fast food chains are localized, so you're going to get a LOT of different answers.
Agreed on both counts.
My personal favorite. Isn't it only on the West Coast? I always thought it was.

I'm seconding the Taco Time choice. And adding that their hot sauce is the absolute best I've had at a fast food place. That alone makes the place worth it despite being relatively expensive (even though the tacos are far more substantial than Taco Bell). But seeing as I now live in Missouri (former Olympia, WA resident), Taco Time's a luxury I don't have access to.

When I feel like eating hormones, then I don't mind KFC. Otherwise my fast food chain of choice is definitely Subway. It makes me feel less guilty.

There are a few things that I like about a few fast food restaurants. A&W has some very good tasting burgers, but they are expensive. Burger King, has the Whopper which is a personal favorite of mine. I like McDonalds fries, but nothing else on their menu. Subway is a great place for subs for sure ^~^! Though I would have to go with Burger King as the best fast food restaurant >~<!

They're only in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. I'm in Michigan right now and am getting really hungry.

I never go to the big corporate places to eat like BK, McD and such. I always go to the small streetside places. Because where I live the quality and amount of food you get from those places are always alot better. Get more bang for the buck while not feeding the giant corporate scumbags, taking one step to a better world by helping the little guy. Thats like... 3 flies in 1 blow. Triple win. Give me applause plz.

Subway for general consumption. Quizno's used to be the best sub joint, but then they started using cheaper meats while keeping the same high prices for it and lost their business for it.

Sonic for fried foods, whenever I can get to one. They're very difficult to find out here on the east coast. Burger King also sometimes has very good burgers, and I actually prefer their fries to McDonald's. I've never been to an In-n-Out Burger.

For pizza, I generally avoid Pizza Hut (odd-tasting sauce) and Domino's (for tasting like bad frozen store-bought pizza) and eat at local restaurants. One of the great things about living on the east coast is having a good pizza place right next to a good pizza place.

For Chinese, I've enjoyed what I've had at Panda Express, though it doesn't compare to a good dim sum place. I stay away from Taco Bell for Mexican and go for Chipotle and Moe's. Moe's has better non-meat ingredients, but they oversalt their meats. Chipotle is more even in terms of quality, but they don't reach the heights of Moe's because of it.

I'm not a big fan of KFC when it comes to fried chicken, and eat at Popeye's more often even though their non-biscuit sides suck to the point of no return.

For breakfast, Maccas, for lunch Subway, for dinner, Noodlebox.

But honestly in the end for value and health you can't beat food I cook myself.
