Prsonally I think that Persona 3 is the winner here. The whole game is 100 hours of story (honestly the dungeon fighting didn't keep you playing the game) and its excitig evry moment. What about you?

EDIT: Wow Poll git screwed up. Just so you guys know I listed Planetscape, Persona, Heavy Rain, FFXIII (everything except the story sucks so it might as well pride itself on that), Other

indigo prophecy. it's a book, via video game, litterally.

edit: assassin's creed 1, was more story driven than 2, and i loved 2's story up untill the ending, then it all was just a huge p.o.s.

I kinda liked the story in Fallout 2 as you set out to save them from a borderline poverty state then go back to take on the might of the Enclave. And all the little adventures and quests in the meantime all added to it somehow, without a pesky time limit!

Really? I enjoyed the story for FFXII out of all the FF games because its the only one to make sense for the setting. In X all of a sudden mythical monsters appear and a guy gets swallowed by a whale (lol) and gets transported to the future (if I remember properly) etc.. Besides, I'm looking for games that are story focused. Like Persona 3 portable, where the actual fighting is terrible and repetitive but the story elements and the interaction wit ll the characters kept me playing for 100+ hour (I would have started a new game+ but I turned on my psp to find that all my data was corrupt, yes 100+ FUCKING HOURS)

Planescape: Torment or The Longest Journey. I'm glad you had at least one of those two in your poll.

Actually, the Zanarkand that Tidus was in was never the real Zanarkand (the one that was destroyed 1000 years ago) to begin with. It was a dream Zanarkand made by the fayth (the fayth being those people that were killed in the destruction of Zanarkand 1000 years ago). So he was never transported to the future, just taken out of the dream world by Sin and placed into the real world, Spira.

Complicated? Definitely. I like explaining that to see all the reactions I get lol.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to name a game with a good story. Well...there's a lot of games with a story I like, but I'll go with Mass Effect. Most recent game I've played with a story I really like.

Loved the story in that game. :)

Also the plot twist near half-way was quite unexpected... O_O
Man, really? I mean I absolutely love the 'Star Ocean' series but the 3rd one had like the cheesiest story, It was like watching a bad anime.

OP - I would probably have to give it to it Mass Effect 1 & 2, just on terms of scale.
Oh, I did quite enjoy FFT's storyline though.

I really liked Bioshock. It's definitely the best story-driven I've played. And yes, I have played Half-Life 2, and I still say that Bioshock is better.
