There are 85 people in my class of which 80 are female, sadly though if you remove the old and ugly only like 30 are left.

Sorry Im shallow.

At my secondary school, it's probably around 1.3 females to every male.

So the gender RATIO is 1.3:1.

Sorry for my scientific niggles, Chemistry nerd. Can't gelp it. :D

I'm doing Chemical Engineering and we have about 105 Students in the second year, around 32 are women but half of them are doing Environmental Engineering so they only share 3 of our modules. Its more like 5:1 ratio if you consider Chemical Engineers only modules.

About 70% of the course are lasses, but it's a language course so it's hardly surprising.

There are still heaps in Australia. At least in my state. It's a pretty common debate - single-sex schools vs. co-ed schools. Not sure which I prefer. I guess there are less distractions, but I don't think we should wait until uni to learn about the opposite sex.
I thought it was almost universally agreed upon that one of the most important aspects of going to school is learning social skills. It's not hard to imagine that that gets hampered by pretty much denying access to the other sex, at least in a work-related environment. Businesses aren't female/male-only as well now are they?

Then again, in some parts of the world there are still witch hunts going on. Humanity, developed? Ha!

I don't know about my classes, I don't want to be that weird guy that is looking around staring at everybody, counting or not.

But my university did the enrollment statistics this year, and I believe there are 10700 some students. And with that number, one of the stats is that the guy to girl ratio is for every four guys there are 6 girls.

As an Elementary Education major, my classes are roughly 95% female. If I weren't already taken, I'd really like those odds.

My science classes have roughly 100 people in them, with maybe 3 or 4 males in total.
My TESL classes are roughly 30 people, with me being the only male.
Art consists of about 60 people, with 2 males.
Educational technology is 120 people, 2 males.
Math has the highest number of males, maybe 6 in 40.
