Pretty simple, what tank fielded by armies today do you think is all around best.

I choose the M1A2 Abrams tank, because it has everything really, Depleted Uranium armor, a powerful gun, a fucking Jet engine, amazing fire control, and more that im not going to go into detail of.

The Challenger 2 is a close second though.

Abrams. Sorry, that mofo is so tricked out in the most modern badassness that you just can't can't beat the damn thing. Of course, they (meaning all of them) cost milllions of dollars to repair when the subwoofer is on the fritz makes them a little costly to fix. I mean, if I can't blow up baddies in some sandy bad place makes Slipknot just not worth it

Challenger 2 because it's British, and everything British is Best.

Damn I feel so patriotic. It's like a warm glow inside.

The Leopard. Why? It's fuel efficient, has a bigger main gun than most other tanks (at least the current generation), has pretty damn good armour and is rather smaller than most other tanks, which is an advantage. And it's numerically superior to the likes of, say, the challenger 2.

Also, if rheinmetall stops selling the USA the wonderful 120mm gun, the Abrams, at least for a while, will be finished.

I'd say the Challenger 2, because it's main gun has an 8km range and because of this:

Like every British tank since the Centurion, Challenger 2 contains a boiling vessel (BV) also known as a kettle or "bivvie" for water which can be used to brew tea, produce other hot beverages and heat "boil-in-the-bag" meals contained in ration packs.
That's right, you'd can be safely tucked up inside your Challenger tank, engaging the enemy from 8km away whilst sipping tea and eating Pot-Noodles.

A tank battle in a Challenger needn't be any more stressful than a weekend's camping.

You need to remove the T-90 from the list that thing got scrapped in the late 90's in order to upgrade T-72's and T-80s.

My vote goes to the Leopard 2 because it has been proven to be the best tank. Initially the First Leopard was a tossup between the Abrams but it has far excelled our Abrams now. Better engine, better gunsight, better fire control and more durable. Even the US Army tested out the new one and said so but couldn't justify dumping the Abrams after spending so much money.

I don't know a whole bunch about tanks, but this definitely sold me over. The Challenger 2 it is!

Funny all the votes Abrams is getting... It's a fantastic tank, if only it could work for more than 40 minutes straight... I remember some years a go there was a study (I believe Rolling Stone and Newsweek talked about it) that showed how amazingly enough all the Abrams at whatsitsname (Fort whatever, can't remember) tank base in Texas got carried to the shooting range by truck, cause chances were half of them would break on the 30 minutes drive there :-D
I'm brit but my vote goes to Merkava, Israeli optronics are simply the best, and when you have an aiming system that can pick up a guy's heat when he's hiding behind a dune in the middle of the desert in midday...

T-90, because it's the evolution of the T-72, which was awesome. And the Russians are amazing anyways, so again the T-90 gets it.

But behind that I say Abrams. Cuz it's American. And Americans win.

I'm torn between the Leopard 2 which is a ginormous piece of machinery of doom (I've seen one up close), the Leclerc for it's auto-loader(faster reloading, one less crew member to worry about.Seen one up close too) and the Merkava Mk4(never seen one :( ).

...

I'll go with the Merkava. The auto-loader on the Leclerc has numerous disavantages and the Leopard 2 doesn't have the combat experience of the Merkava.
Plus, this Isreali beast's design has been refined with 4 different evolutions for maximum efficiency.Normally,a main battle tank is crowded. This one can carry a full crew AND 3 extra people in the back. Now THAT'S good designing.
