Ea obviously, I mean what company has done even half the damage Ea has done to the Games industry?

To name a few of their crimes
-Ruined many great companies (Westwood especially)
-Destroyed the rts genre
-Champions the riduclous $60 price tag and day one dlcs
-Constantly bitching about piracy
-Installs malware on your computer
-Makes many of the terrible generic games that are causing the creative stagnation we have nowadays

This is pretty much what goes through my head when I hear someone ask "what's the worst X?"

Valve.
Damn them, their DRM and their monopoly on certain games.
Wait, "monopoly on certain games" what does this mean? They send ninja assassins to every dev that tries to do something like Portal or Half-Life? Is that why we haven't seen other people take on those?

OT: I'm surprised Ubisoft isn't on the list. Not that I particularly dislike them...well, not more than what is normal, I suppose, but Ubi usually ends up on lists like these.

As for my answer...dunno, I'm not interested in games in either of these. I think I'm least interested in Activision games, followed closely by EA. And by that I mean I mean that from each's catalogue the amount of games I even care about is the the smallest for Activision and EA.

Does that count?
I think he means that there are more than a few games which are only purchasable through Steam.

Either you can get a Steam copy, or you can't get a legitimate copy of the game at all, which I think is kinda shitty.
Such as?

EDIT: Nevermind, thought you were saying they could only be bought through Steam. Although that is the developer's choice, Steamworks has various tiers.

OT: Finding all the Steam DRM complaints... odd, considering it's been exactly the same for the past 8, going on 9, years, and it's about as unintrusive as you can get bar not having any. One time activation. And if it's not Steamworks you shouldn't even need to start Steam to begin the game.

They changed their plans, stop whining. You paid for exactly what you got, it's not like you bought a season pass for all three episodes and then they only gave you two. They commented on it recently and said some stuff had gone well, other stuff they'd wanted to change, the project is still ongoing. It'll get a formal announcement when it's ready for one.

(And I'd already edited the post above.)

Answer: None.

My worst personal experience with gaming comes from Games for Windows Live (Bioshock, Bioshock 2).
I don't know if the blame here would fall on 2k games or Microsoft for the terrible DRM experience.

Bought the games off steam, couldn't access my ancient email.
Couldn't change my Games for Windows Live email because I'm a PC gamer and that feature is only allowed on Xbox.
My only solution was to either create a new email and buy the game again (according to cx service) or get into my old email.

I eventually got into the old email but it was needlessly challenging and time consuming experience just to bypass DRM.

Of late I'm given to disliking Zynga, not for anything that they themselves have done but because they've gotten the ball rolling on the worst type of free-to-play game models, models which other otherwise competent developers like Gameloft are beginning to adapt.

Ubisoft.

I seriously dislike these tossers more than the other put together.
"How rude! No Far Cry 3 on PC for you, English!"

"Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!"

Hated these weasels for their DRM.

Activision's the reason we pay 60 dollars for games now... Boby Kotick's a cancer on gaming who only sees it all as money and statistics. A sin shared by EA very much. I have quite a bunch of good EA games here but I have very very few recent Activision games(I can only name the Transformer series which by the way it's quite overpriced.), I think it takes the lead.

See the three men in my avatar? The guy with the orange background is Bobby Kotick of Activision, the company that milks franchises to the bone and has lax gameplay innovation except for the recent Black Ops 2, which is a mediocre game at best. Also, I had a temporary vendetta against the company after they nearly killed off True Crime (a.k.a. Sleeping Dogs), a game that I was really excited for.

The two other guys are execs from EA, the gaming industry's equivalent to the Roman Empire. Not only do they have little innovation in their games, but they also assimilate small game developers just to acquire their IPs while removing vital people from their dev groups to the point that their souls are gone. And all the games they release are aimed for a general audience, meaning that the content is dumbed down to the point of insanity. Case in point, Dead Space 3, a game in a series of horror games, was made less scary than its predecessors because apparently most people didn't like games that were too horrifying.

And to add to the bit about making games for a general audience, they're trying to force every future game to have an online component of sorts, which often wastes the resources of developers trying to make a game with a extremely in-depth single-player storyline. The publisher also has a restrictive online distribution system, and a marketing team that treats gamers as if they were really just preteens and basement-dwellers,

And if that isn't evil enough for you, take note that this company tried to buy out Valve, which is akin to killing off the gaming equivalent of Pixar.
Or, to tie it back into the Roman Empire analogy, it would be the gaming equivalent of killing Jesus. Only this time, he'd never rise from the dead, because there could never be a third day for Valve.

None at all.

I like at least 1 game from each of those companies, so Whatever they do I am ok with it so long as the games they make are FUN.

/end.
This is the worst possible stance that you could have on this issue.

A company's products have jack fucking shit to do with their business practices, and how you should view them.
(IN your opinion).

I personally dont care what the companies do while making their games, I care only about the games themselves. I mean its not like they kill people while making the games or something...

At the very most, we have maybe something like EA eating westwood or something else... That is unafortunate. But it just happens, its called BUNNISES, let it go. Yeah they want money and you may not agree with their practices, thats okay and its your opinion but it just freaking happens and they have all the rights to do stuff like that all the time (well so long as it is not ilegal or something).

Team ICO.

They have made the two shittiest games I've ever played.

They both have people speaking in a language I can't understand! This is AMERICA! People should speak in our language! There's also no guns and explosions, no multiplayer and no DLC.

Their graphics are also shit. They're both so unrealistic.

Team ICO is the worst game company ever and they make the worst games ever. DON'T BUY THEM!
