Poll: What is usually found in your Escapist inbox?

This just popped into my head, probably due to lack of sleep. What notifications do you usually get?

About 90% of the time, my notifications are from the group chats I go to.
I rarely get normal PMs even though I like talking to people but I never know who to talk to or what to say.
I don't often get quoted because my posts just typically blend in, unless someone feels like being a git about something I said.

I keep forgetting to take quizzes and win badges too. Boooo.

I know a lot of people thrive on talking one on one with other users but I typically don't.

How about everyone else?

I am very weird about keeping that little envelope from being yellow but normally when it does change colors, it's because someone is quoting me (I get a lot of "This" or "arguments for why I'm dumb" for I am almost always towards the top of a thread. It's rare that I post in a thread that has gone beyond one page ).

I don't do a lot of the quizes and what-not that gives you badges, I don't do much of anything in group chats (except for my "Let's Play" but I generally don't get quoted since it's assumed that you are talking to me if you don't mark it), I haven't ever gotten a warning (...yet), I don't ever add friends (though I will certainly add and accept if someone else friends me; I just don't do it for some reason) and....uh.....I'm forgetting one aren't I? I already voted so I can't see the list now....well oopsy.

Most of the time it's people trying to put me down and prove me wrong.

Pretty much this.

When my message icon lights up, it's usually because someone is passive-aggressively attacking and insulting me in a quote somewhere.

Srsly though, I haven't encountered that problem. Maybe it's a connection thing?

Either a PM or a quote, maybe both if I'm lucky and the odd group announcement/quiz badge. The notifications I get from PM and quotes tend to spike, naturally, since when I'm having a conversation I can expect one maybe every day but if not my inbox will be more or less empty. I I used to keep group chat notifications on but when I realized I never really contributed to them and I would always get flooded with notifications the next morning I turned them off.

It's probably about 60% group notifications, 30% quotes, 10% Sass's nudes everything else. Well besides warning because I'm a good little Escapist user.

Almost all of mine are from group chats. I don't post much in the forums anymore so I don't get quoted that much and I don't get many pms outside of the odd "dude you avatar is awesome" so yeah my messages are from group chats.

Most of the time, it's group notifications since I tend to hang out there more than the rest of you bastards lovely people.

Cuz they ma bros.

The rest I get PMs for audio or audio related questions since I do the editing for the Communicast here, and I get some by people that I know and talk to through there if FB or Skype isn't an option. I rarely get quoted, so there's that.

Also, I haven't received any of these "nudes" that I've been reading despite being the same group as you people and I feel cheated.

It's mostly badge notifications (I enjoy the personality quizzes), with very occasional forum quotes whenever I manage to say anything interesting/inflammatory enough to warrant it. I don't belong to any groups, and I've never once gotten a PM, warning, or friend request.

OT: I get pm's and group notifications. I almost always know what they are before hand because people very rarely contact me out of the blue.

The rare times I get a notification is if I decide to put down a comment in a somewhat controversial thread or express an unpopular opinion, and thus get quoted. This is not very often though. Generally I just fade into the woodwork on these forums.

Oh, I know that feeling. I always start thinking about the last threads I posted in and consider if any of it was in a red hot topic. I remember getting 5 messages once. I got anxious, but it turned out to be 3 system messages and 2 quotes from different threads. Once I did end up getting quoted 9 times on the first page of a news article though. That was fun...

OT: Quotes and system messages here with quotes being the most common. Despite thinking I deserve it I haven't received any warnings for the past 6 months (and counting) which is good I guess.

In the last couple of days I have received a few friendly PMs from some anime fans on this site, but PMs are rare. I sometimes take off topic discussions and apologies for taking things too far in threads to the realm of PM though.

Sometimes it's quotes if I've said something interesting or more likely, controversial and offensive.

It's almost always quotes or Injustice League/United Nations of Fun notifications for upcoming threads and events. The occasional friend request comes up, along with badges.

Usually I am quoted with "this" or someone disagrees with me slightly, or it's Neronium because he's awesome like that.
