Oh man, see the PS2 had so many classics. It was (and still is) a great system. Then again, N64 had Perfect Dark.....I'm going for N64.

QFT. But out of the consoles here I'd have to say PS2, it lasted for ages, and has a massive amount of games.
PC beats a console any day, hands down, but some people feel like consoles are better for them, why? I don't know.

I have very fond memories of my Dreamcast, N64, and Genesis. However, nothing can beat the amazing awesomeness that was (and still is) the SNES.

SNES. It had all of my favorite titles, and above all else, my absolute favorite controller. I have no idea why the idea of a single, unified crosspad has never occurred to anyone else. Every single member of the Playstation family, the XBox family, and all subsequent generations of the Nintendo console family have crosspads that are either directional "buttons" (a la the Playstation's design), or very stiff, tight, or unreasonably small crosspads. When I played Super Street Fighter II on SNES, I could whip out a shoryuken motion EASILY. Sabin's Bum Rush and Zangief's Spinning Pile Driver were cake. But seriously, try doing a 360 motion on a Playstation pad. And then try playing a game where it's necessary to do that several, several times over the course of extended play. You'll grind your thumb to burger in no time.

On top of all that, it still works more than 15 years later. Shit, not many electronics you can say that about. And it seems impossible with this current generation of consoles bricking and RRoDing only a couple years out of the box.

Playstation 2

God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Metal Gear Solid 2/3.
Loved every second of it.

Yeah, it sucks that vista cant run them :(
Yeah =/

I actually have a virtual PC to play older games that don't work on my XP (yes, I'm too lazy to get Vista because I don't see any benefits and actually like Windows 95-2000 design better)

I remember that really awesome game I used to love to play on DOS... Horde, or something like that. You'd play a generic hero defending a village from imps and demons - and you'd have to kill them (duh) and save the villagers, whose houses are being destroyed by the aforementioned demons, and sometimes kill the demons that manage to devour them alive to release them... and you'd get gold to create spike traps, put water around the village so demons drown, and even hire badass mace-wielding guardians (who unfortunately couldn't move). I don't really remember the story behind the game, there were more then a few villages with new demons and items appearing...

Dammit, insomnia.
Heh I remember that game there pretty much was no story but the game didn't really suffer for it :p

On Topic: PS2 as it houses most of my "BEST. GAME. EVAR." 's or has the ability to play them via backwards compatability.

Honestly the Sega Saturn.

Out of all my consoles, it still has the most games for it.

Excluding PC though.

Hmm, I would have to toss it between the Playstation (1) and the Xbox. Truth be told, this generation sucks.

Well when I saw the title, I thought of two things instantly, neither of which are options in the poll. I would have gone for either the original Xbox or the Gameboy.

Well, had the option for nintendo DS been there, I'd have taken that (mine has a homebrew snes emulator, unlimited game library ftw!), and it can play all the GBA games as well. Since it wasn't I went n64, as that was my favorite childhood console.
