Actually I am not, besides, your 'theory' is that if I were to advertise here, I would somehow gain something. This is false, since everything on that site if free of charge.
Advertisement brings revenue.
No, advertising brings potential customers, but if one is not selling anything, there is nothing to gain... well, maybe besides fame.
Yes, but advertisers still pay the website for the space, so they're the ones concerned with potential customers, not you. Also, you just joined, so whether or not you are advertising, you're still going to get a lot of people accusing of joining just to get people to visit your site. If that wasn't your reason for joining, welcome to the Escapist!

There are no ads on that website, and no links to things to buy. The site is completely free, now, can we please stop the talk about advertising and get back to the topic at hand?

Also, thanks for the welcome. :)

As I am interested in psychometrics and human psychology in general, to test one of my ideas, I decided to use this forum as my template.

An IQ test merely shows how good people are at IQ tests and does not in any way equate to intelligence...

Further, there is no way you can claim that any IQ test is not effected by the social class of the person in question - after all, it is a near-fact that social class dramatically effects a pupils early education and therefore their success at IQ tests. Bearing in mind that IQ tests were originally designed to test the mentality of patients it makes no sense to bother completing them, let alone advertise them - they are merely another forum of e-peen.

So explain (I'm not giving your site traffic until I get a legitimate answer) what idea are you possibly planning to test with an IQ test?

I wouldn't consider pattern recognition to be the basis upon which all intelligence is formed, therefore your test is flawed.

As I was typed out those paragraphs I thought someone would come out with that joke! The fact is I honestly haven't visited the site, I do however study Sociology and am interested in the way the Original poster is going to use this data - if, as he so adamantly claims, it is not an advertisement.

I'm 16 and got a 104, i've never taken a real IQ test but i randomly picked about the last 10-15 questions, so it's probably not accurate :D

130 but I have to agree with some other posters that this is a very incomplete test only focusing on one subset of IQ. Also when IQ tests aren't developed reviewed and administered by professional(PHD) psychologists they are very unreliable. Even among those types of tests the scores do not match in between tests from different sources, so much so that mensa may accept a score of 132 from one test but require 148 from another.
