Yorkshire born an' bred, strong in't arm thick in't head (UK)

Btw that poll has just about all the main Anglosheres apart from Ireland, poor Irish :p

Wow, there are more Brits on here than Americans? Interesting. On the other hand there are even more Australians. Then again maybe Americans don't post much in these threads and thus ironically seem much fewer than they actually are.
Expect the results of that Poll to look increasingly American as the day moves on, time zones and that.

*chuckles at national injoke*

You might say that one day... our day will come? :p

We never make the bloody polls, man. I remember a thread that started out asking if people were Irish- ie, born in Ireland etc, but it got flooded with people whose grandmother's sister's goldfish once knew an Irish person.

*sighs*
Our statistics were ruined!
Tiocfaidh ar la, mo chara!
I'm not a supporter of the RA, just to get that out there!

There're a fair few Irish people on here, at a guess I'd say there're more Irish than Belgian. Yeah, it would be difficult to get an accurate poll, given how people are really into identifying themselves by their ancestry. We have a group that a handful of us use quite regularly though.
haha! Oh, apologies, dude! Jeeze, I didn't want to imply that at all :p Neither am I, and I pretty much take it as a given that most sane, rationale people aren't...
Like your good self.

Yeah, take that Belgium! No longer will they ciphon off our thunder! lol
That's very true, even when the OP waded in and laid down the terms of reference it just fell on deaf, plastic shamrock ears.
I think I may have joined that group at one point, though I'm pretty terrible at using it very often!

American for many generations, here.

Interesting to see the statistics. I wonder if ZP attracted all the British and Australians?

There's an option for New Zealand!

[sub]For some reason NZ is always left out in these threads, and we have to vote "other" or, heaven forbid, "Australia".[/sub]

Anyway, yes, New Zealand. Live here, was born here.
You're just an Australian state, we've abandoned Tasmania and adopted you guys.

Yay, first to vote Netherlands, and we're even on the list for a change (which is somewhat strange since there are only 10-20 Dutch people on this board...)
Quite a few more, in my experience.

Japan. But raised in Australia. Hence the nickname Jossie.
But now I have relatives and business in the US so my life is spread over the three countries.
It's cool. You can complain about all three countries while taking advantage of the strength of all three countries :)

Australia. Born in Melbourne, live in Brisbane now.
AKA two major cities in Australia which Americans somehow never pronounce correctly.
So, for my American friends, I was born in Melbern and now live in Brisbayne.
If it's pronounced "melborn", then I can hardly see your problem with people pronouncing it "incorrectly" since I'm certain it's just a case of them saying the name quickly.

Brisbane, however, I can't see how it could be pronounced differently and you can hardly blame someone for pronouncing it phonetically.

The US here. Born here, lived here for say...12 years of my life, spent the other 5 on that small island in Japan known as Okinawa.

South Africa - land of the corrupt politicians
Not so fast in hogging that title! We in the Czech Rep are quite fond of our knack for corruption and fund funneling as well! And stand mere 0.3 points higher on international corruption ranking than you guys. Take that EU!
...
More often than not I'm quite embarrassed to be Czech...
I know that feeling of embarrassment.
