What is your opinion of PeTA?

I think they want to good, but are misguided, and ignorant of the real problems surrounding animal cruelty.

what's your opinion.

EDIT: any advice or input on how they can improve.

Can I pick all of them except 'Positive' and 'other'?

Seriously, I'm all for animal rights, but these guys take it to such a ridiculous extreme they give the whole animal rights movement a bad name.

My opinion on them is mostly negative. They're simply not being reasonable, too zealous. I mean I couldn't care less if I get labelled "murderer" for simply enjoying a good rump steak, but the attention seeking, ugh, that really does make me roll my eyes.

I could care less about them, but I don't care enough to care less.

They need to learn to pick their fights. Fighting people killing rats in a VIDEO GAME is a waste of resources that could be used to stop puppy mills and people from locking their dogs in cars in 125 degree heat.

They could have been something nice, Who among us wouldn't like to see all creatures treated fairly and ethically? But they're thicker than two short planks sometimes.

There's no poll option for 'Misguided, ignorant and foolish'. I feel cheated.

Their over-zealous attitude almost makes me think that other animal rights activists must be embarrassed to be seen near them. Kinda like how the Pope feels about the WBC.

I feel that they are ignorant, foolish, misguided, hypocritical, thin skinned and almost entirely stupid.

Having naked women holding signs does not make me want to become a vegetarian. It makes me want to have sex with women. These aren't even close to the same thing. There's a joke about "my meat" in here, but I'm far too high brow for that.

The only way I could respect them is it turned out that the entire organisation was an elaborate satire of animal rights organisations. Then again, they are pretty much THE animal rights organisation so that doesn't hold much weight.

They are a bunch of misinformed, lying, ignorant, terrorists. They kill more animals than they save and their methods leave a lot to be desired.

"I bet they'd love to eat my meat"? "I'd make them reconsider their vegetarianism"? "I'd Show them my Meat and Two veg"?
I love being low brow.

People Eating Tasty Animals? yeah I'm a member.

kidding of course, but on a serious note, I've seen a lot of formal research that shows they eliminate "undesirable" animals... If eliminating undesirables is ethical treatment, then your morality must be informed by... (get ready, I'm dropping the H bomb) none other than Adolf Hitler.

As far as bitching about their beliefs to other people, yeah they can think of me whatever they want but their right to protest ends where my right to eat what I want begins.

I'll say my opinion is generally negative.

Hell I have spent time wanting to scream into their faces things like "NO! The fact that you are trying to raise awareness of animal rights does not make the fact that you are shamelessly objectifying women okay!"
Mind you, I don't know any members of PETA (are there even any in Australia?), so I haven't had the opportunity.
