I don't carry a weapon, it's illegal in my country to do so, but I do like knives.

I do have weapons in my home, but don't carry any. I don't own anything like a gun or sword, however. More 'makeshift' protection. Zombie invasion? Criminals? Any situation like that in which I may need extra protection, I make sure I have that protection available to me and hidden around my home. I wouldn't attack someone with a weapon unless it was self defence, or if they had one too and were planning to attack me. In that case, I wouldn't wait for them to strike first.

Fantasy wise, I have an interest in all sorts of weapons. Guns, swords, knives. I think I prefer knives and swords.

Dont need one, never needed one. I feel perfectly safe at home or out and about. Its brilliant not having fear control your life.

I'd rather have my wits about me and be fit enough to run away, and it's a good thing for the sake of the principle of peace.

I've always been curious about playing around with weapons though. I was always interested in them, particularly medieval ones.

I find a knife is adequate protection, they're so easy to conceal, silent, portable, fast and deadly.

My favoured weapon is diplomacy, backed up by my trusty side arm: the ability to run away.

I live in Australia, so even if I felt the need to be armed, there'd be severe restrictions.

Having said that, I might like a crossbow (though in my state I'd need various permits, not so much out west) if I ever was going to do something about all them foreign animals running amok without predators.

A crossbow does away with all that "I thought it wasn't loaded" issues, because you can see if it is or not.

(I'd also note that swords have been used by various cultures for thousands of years, there's quite alot of variation, and even a small amount makes a big change to the way its used.)

I don't carry any weapons, unless you count my 8 pounds of keys on a lanyard. I've given an attempted mugger a few whacks with that fucker and he ran screaming into the night.

Fucking crackheads.

I occasionally carry nunchaku if I am going to somewhere where I think I might need to defend myself.

When I become of age, I do plan on getting my CCW (Conceal Carry Weapon) Licence. I won't carry anything big, a Walther P22 would suffice if I got some decent trigger time with it before I started carrying it. As of right now, I know basic firearm safety as is. But legally, I'm not allowed to carry one. A teenage boy can dream.

I have swords in the house. I have an iron bar next to my side of the bed.

I don't carry a weapon when I leave the house I don't need to. Not because of a moral or religious beliefe but because people around here don't carry guns therefore the biggest problem i'll face is a moron with a knife.

A moron with a knife isn't a big problem.

I collect swords and knives, but the only one that ever leaves my house is my Swiss army knife, never know when it could come in handy.

Useless waste of metal and other materials. I'd much rather they made PC's and other game consoles using that material.

I like swords. Sure, guns are better killers, but to truly master a sword, one must dedicated oneself to the blade and what wielding that blade entails. Any dumbass can pick up a gun and fire off a few rounds, but few know the intricacies of steel to steel combat. And I can respect that.
Believe me firing a gun is far more difficult than it looks especially at longer ranges.

I don't carry a weapon, or see any need to own one. I feel quite safe in my house, and I've never been in a fight on the streets, since I can diffuse almost any situation I find. If I was getting mugged or something, I'd be sensible and either run away or let them take stuff. Less likely that anyone gets actually hurt then.

I like not living in fear :)

I love the design and intricacies of weapons, particularly the mechanics behind guns. Sword combat is much more elegant, but there is something badass about using a pistol/revolver/similar one handed firearm. I would love to train in sword combat, everything from fencing to kendo. I have an air pistol and an air rifle and love using both.
However, I don't think I could kill another human unless in self-defence or the defence of my country.

It is illegal to carry any conceled weapon in my country, nor would it be smart to have one without years of training. Its way to easy for some punk to grab your knife/sword/whatever and turn it on you if you have no idea of its proper use

Well I can't carry guns around in my country, but I presume I'll be carrying around a sweet sniper rifle when the zombie scourge takes hold.
