lol I cant mention every 2.5D game that would take ages!FirstMitsukai said:how r u forgetting the fallout series, before BoS and 3 the fallout series was 2.5D.
And just for the record, even though I'm kinda nitpicking, I'm fairly sure that the actual definition of "2.5D" is 2D range of movement combined w/ any sort of 3D. Not just 2D movement w/ all 3D characters and backgrounds. It could be a 3D character combined w/ 2D backgrounds and enemies (think Sonic Rush).Jirlond said:For those who do not know a 2.5D game is a game with 3D environments and characters but you can only control that character up/down or left/right.
very true - it is nitpicking but you are correct, I just had splosion man and rocket riot gunning through my head!joystickjunki3 said:I particularly like the ones w/ hand-drawn sprites. It would totally sweet to me if I could play a sidescroller game that looked like Blazblue.
But yeah, I love 2D gameplay, so 2.5D is great.

Classic!ScruffyTheJanitor said:erm.. SSB?
Sorry, I just figured that we shouldn't confuse the 2.5D-uninitiated gamers. Because, what if by some terrible catastrophe they didn't like 'Splosion Man, but loved New Super Mario Bros., but didn't know that New SMB was a 2.5D game. They might be inclined to vote that they don't really care for 2.5D and would rather just have 2D or 3D.Jirlond said:very true - it is nitpicking but you are correct, I just had splosion man and rocket riot gunning through my head!
