I would probably have to side with Earthbending since i loved how Toph manipulated the ground beneath her feet with such ease and how she could metal bend just added to her being even more powerful and i do like how Earthbender's can create a fortress just using the ground beneath their feet and not to mention earth can stand a while against fire.

Hrm. Been a while since I watched this, and never paid a lot of attention. It didn't seem like a bad show, it just didn't match my aesthetics.
Earth bender. I recall they have significant limitations, and the lead character who was an earth bender was scary powerful besides, but it seems like it would be a very interesting power. For one thing, unlike fire or air, its effects are enduring.

Hard to say, they are all amazing in their own way. And like the OP I have leaning towards all elements sometimes but I do have my favorites.
If given the choice I'd probably like to be either a Firebender or an Airbender. That's not to say that Water and Earthbending aren't interesting and powerful in their own right, it's just that they don't really suit me all the time.
Firebender because it might be nice to just let off some steam every now and then. I'd really like to be able to just shoot fire whenever it just gets to be too much, you know? Plus setting thing on fire seems like it would be really fun. On the other hand aside from keeping warm and setting stuff on fire this bending style doesn't seem to have many practical applications.
Airbending on the other hand would be cool because I could mess with people invisibly, and better yet fly to a limited extent. I think the most appealing parts about Airbending are the amazing acrobatics and aerial maneuvers possible through manipulating air currents. Plus I would really really like to fly.
I think though since I have to choose one I would like to be an Airbender, because I'd really like to be able to fly and jump really high and stuff. On the other hand I'm not that spiritual and Airbending powers come primarily from spirituality, so I would probably be born a Firebender.
