Dark Heresy. It's a pen and paper adaptation of the Warhammer 40k universe. It's got a lot of interesting points to it and is a slightly more interesting setting if you like W40k. http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=50

Heh, good Unforgotten Reference, seriously A Lumber Jack...I would have been a Miner to be honest LOL
Actually, I think it was a Monty Python reference...

But on topic, I usually play warrior classes. No fancy spells or sneaking around, I prefer to charge at my enemy and rip his throat out while he's trying pathetically to fend off my mighty blade from turning his entrails into confetti.

In the words of Han Solo, "I prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around..."

In most games, I am the dumb grunt wailing away at the enemy with a weapon bigger than 3 babies. In the games where strategy matters, I am the dumb grunt tactically wailing away at the enemy with a weapon bigger than 3 babies while throwing out the commands to the others.

In games like Mount&Blade (which include M&B and M&B Warband, seeing as no other game really compares), I am best as a heavy lancer cavalry. I am pretty good with sword/axe on horse and I am decent with sword/axe on foot. I am not so good with archery, crossbows, or spears on foot.

some kinda tank. really doesn't matter how it works.
Its a simple and effective class, and a Tank is always needed if you got healers or spell casters

Then again I just thought of something....What if you had nothing but a party of Healers? would that work in Dungeons and Dragons...maybe 4 white Mages in final Fantasy...could it work?

Hybrid:
I like to do a little of everything, I love run buffs/travel spells and a little spot healing when needed too.

Support mage or a Combat mage (defensive or offensive spells)
I like being able to incinerate a whole way of enemies in just a few seconds or being able to buff teammates and defuff strong enemies. Usually because noone else does the same if I play a combat class >.>

I am either a heroic warrior with a hugeass sword, or a conniving duel-blade wielding thief ready to steal from you and cut your throat if you start annoying me.

Some kind of magic user. One that uses magic for pure power, to damage the enemy.
If not that, then a healer.

It is always fun to take out minions with a nice burst attack

Healer/Priest/Medic.

Being the lynch pin of a group is a huge amount of fun. The pressure of needing to perform at your optimal while making good judgement calls and conserving supplies/mana is great for my own gaming experience.
