I vary from sniper when im patient to suicidal rusher when im stressed and just wanting to get some goddamn kills.. I usually stay away from my team though. damn kill stealers

Sage: using strategical forsight abilities presumably gained from playing turn-based games/Grenadier: throwing grenades in a way that makes them rain upon the enemy really puts them at a disadvantage.
I try to keep everyone alive and buffed up and then debuff the enemy, unless its an RPG where debuffing is useless
I'm usually a Support in MMOs, cause I like helping people.
But in war games (CoD4) what I like to do is create a class with sneakyness but a shotgun, then go through allyways and back roads to try to ambush people. Pretty fun, I say.

Mixed, and I mean that in both sense of the term. I don't mind mixing it up as either a sniper (especially in FPSs) or support character (especially in MMOs), but I really like playing single characters with genuinely mixed roles (Defenders in City of Heroes come to mind).
in cod4 i run about with the rirst sniper pulling off head shots from close range as there tring to kill me with a p90 or something only to fail utterly muhahhahaha

Glass cannon and shotgun ninja, all the way.
Unless the game in question has non-lethal kills (like MGS and such). Then I only do pacifist runs.

I'm on both ends of the spectrum.
Sometimes I like to find a nice, quiet spot, pull out a sniper rifle and pick off all of the enemies I can see.
Then I might go tactical, sticking to teammates, peeking around corners, setting up mines, and working around the battlefield trying to be stealthy or discreet.
Then I'll decide to switch to Rambo my way through the frontlines, going on a murderous rampage and killing as many people as I can before my recklessness gets me killed. Oddly enough, I'm usually more successful this way than as a sniper, or when I put thought into what I do.

Adaptive. I often try to be what is needed. I am partial to sniper/scout, but I can easily play frontlines too, but I favor medics in games that have them. I also tend to focus on actually doing my job more than some. Annoying when the medic runs all Rambo when they should be healing people.
I must admit i am a sniper at heart i love to snipe, my favourite game to snipe on is call of duty 4 only because it is an awesome game where it looks like Australian players have this amazing ability to beat americans while we are on red-bar connection i dont understand very well maybe just everyone else just sucks.
