I'm not trying to troll or flame or whatever; and all you ladies that posted here might be exceptions to the rule; but i think there's only ONE guy that girls go for.

The asshole. The complete tool

It just seems like a fact that EVERY single girl I know always goes for a jerk, while I'm always stuck in the "friend-zone".

Sure, when you ask a lady what they're looking for they're sure to reply "personality, sense of humor, yadda yadda" but in reality, they just go for the guy that will cheat at a moments notice.

Or I might just be bitter.
Bitter. Sorry, but GODDAMN am I sick of hearing this. Perhaps you would be more attractive to girls if you didn't call them all stupid, naive and shallow by claiming every girl wants a jerk. I'm not hating, but just think about it for a second.

As for me, my boyfriend is lovely, considerate, lean and somewhat effeminate. And we both share heterosexual crushes of David Tennant. I couldn't ask for more.

"Forget about him, why don't you hitch up with a real man"
Nah. I feel embarrassed every time I see him on British TV (in anything other than Who or it's spinoff) because he seems to come across as a giant dork.

There was one series where he went around touring castles of the UK and he was making such an ass of himself. I had to change the channel.

Maybe he was romantic or nice and that's what attracted the girl at first. Not his ability to hit her in the face or to, in fact, be a complete jerk.
Yeah, most of the women I've known who've gone out with abusive fuckheads have pretty much said "But he was soooo (insert desired trait) when we started seeing each other..." at some point after shit turned sour. Most of the fuckheads weren't even so-called bad boys, they were average blokes leaning towards the clean-cut side of things.

I could only see myself falling for a guy if he was feminine enough that I would forget about his true gender. Nothing would ever come of it though, since I find the male anatomy to be quite repulsive.

(Just for the record, I'm a girl.)
So enormous great big sweaty guys with baldy heads and hairy bodies, who also happen to work as park rangers thus are always grubby, don't do it for you then?

That would be me.

If I was going to fall for a guy there would have to be some radical restructuring of my sexual preferences, and as such I have no idea. Although...

Word.

I held out for years for someone perfect. I'm not stupid. I know what I like and yeah, there were a few couple stuck in the friend zone. Why? 'Cause they were nice and my boyfriend is a douchetool? No, my boyfriend is the friendliest, kindest person you ever would know. Those guys just didn't like themselves. I don't like saying it, but it was true.

They did not take care of themselves emotionally or physically, they were not confident in their strengths, and they put me up on a pedestal that, quite frankly, scared me. I made it clear that I was not interested and they should find another sweet girl to love but they remained attached. Dude, that's not being a Nice Guy, that's being clingy. Not an attractive trait. :(

In short, love yourself before you can love another. Oh, and read this like everyone else has said:

I agree, sick of hearing this too. Those who make claims that women only like jerks are typically sexists with poor social skills, who choose to blame their lack of relationship success on anything but themselves. A bit of harsh introspection is in order I think.

I'd generalize the things that women consistently like in a guy as confidence, compliments and care. Other things too, but they don't start with a 'c', and thus don't count.

I'm telling you, ....David Tennant is the world's sexiest man. He's already been mentioned here about 3 or four times.

Either he's just super goddamn adorable, or everyone wants to bang a timelord.
Totally agree with Tennant. He's just so amazing as a Timelord, and talented with a lot of bredth as an actor.

I miss the Tenth Doctor already. :'(
GAH! Spoilers, woman! SPOILERS! I'm in America and haven't seen the new season yet!

I mean, I knew it would happen eventually, but....but...

I'm in Canada! I haven't seen the new season either, but I still miss the Tenth Doctor.

:'(
Tennant leaving isn't a spoiler, surely, it was announced well over a year ago! Now if we started discussing the new Doctor...

Um, I can think of something else that begins with a 'c'.

Uhm... I don't usually get that much info on the cast or the show itself. I try to stay away from articles and such online to prevent spoilers, as we're on a bit of a delay for the good Doctor here in America.

And I know it's not really a spoiler that he'll change. He does that every couple of seasons... but it's always nice to be surprised.

I went for the gamer boy, because the gamer boys I know usually have a bit of funny and hot in them. However, I must convert one of them to console gaming. Advice? XD

But I would definitely want some one who shared my interests and can understand a joke at the same time as me. I also wouldn't say that looks have to be a real big issue, because I don't really go for the conventional appearance.

P.S. I loved him in Doctor Who and I loved him in Hamlet. David Tennant should become a British National Treasure, protected by the National Heritage. I mean who needs castles, when you have HIM to look at instead!

I have a huge tendency to fall in love with the all-around nerds.
Throw in the ability to play a guitar solo, and I'll be hooked.

A metalhead Gamer is my type. Someone who can understand and appreciate my love of games and has a kickass taste in music. Plus can make me laugh even when I am mad or depressed and is intelligent enough to carry on a conversation with me or my engineer grandfather

If I were to go to bat for the other team...

or...

You do know that the nickname the Doctor Who cast gave him was David Ten-inch, right?

Hah. I'd say that's quite true for most.
I'm a little bit screwed up in that I tend to find guys with terrible confidence who need some emotional TLC- perhaps because I'm altruistic, or perhaps because I like the ego boost of making someone feel better about themselves when they deserve it.

BUT YES, if girls aren't interested in you, you can hardly blame it on them. Harsh introspection indeed.

Quoted for truth. Man-crush right there.

Also, Stephen Fry has the most amazing voice. It just topples Morgan Freeman >:D
