Gaming, movie, and becoming a computer nerd so that I can combine all three to make the best video game of all time.
I'm both a gamer and an anime fan. So to me the best games are anime style games that are good. Tales of Symphonia, Guilty Gear, and Final Fantasy are some of my all time favorites. I can still enjoy a good FPS but they don't have the Ultra-stylized look and game-play that I love. In terms of anime and manga I enjoy Action anime with a romantic subplot that ACTUALLY GOES SOMEWHERE (my god this is hard to find). So my favorite manga are Psyren, Angel Densetsu, and Hunter x Hunter with D. Gray man as a strong runner-up.

Oi, I disagree with the opening post! I'm a book nerd, ACTUALLY.
I like games a whole EXTREME bunch, and have been known to get very excited about games (developers and release dates and stuff, and OMG don't get me started on hours spent on my DS recently...hence why I joined)... but they're not what get me hyper in conversations. And the thing that gets me hyper is what I consider my main nerdiness to lie with- that is, books.
Game example:
Person: "Hey, have you played LOZ:TP?"
Me: "Yeah, it's awesome!"
Book example:
Person: "Hey, have you read The Princess Bride?"
Me: "WTF OMFG I LOVE IT!!1!" /mouthfoam
Besides, I joined The Escapist for the community as well. Most people here seem less fanboyish/fangirlish than usually found on internet gaming forums x3

I love video games, but I only play TF2 and GMOD and I only watch movies with friends or on dates
Because the meaning of nerd is someone who knows a lot about one subject to the detriment of other things i think the all round nerd category is a misnomer, but i clicked it anyway because i like movies music and games so nothing else fitted, am i even a nerd then? i guess sorta cos i know a lot about games but its so much that it becomes a detriment to my knowledge of other things and hence my social skillz yo.
People who like sports and know a lot about the team in their chosen league are nerds, probably more nerdy, but they've been accepted by society because their nerdism is more compatible with drinking.
