Well it seems that I've missed the point again. Dammit. I'm sorry if I've fucked up your post, I really didn't mean to. I wasn't arguing against you, I just rejected your hypothetical situation. I've always done that, when given options A, B, and C I always choose D. I guess that's what makes me special, my head is so far up my ass that I'm choking on my own colon. Again I would like to make an apology.UnusualStranger said:Well, like I said before. Little bit hypocritical on your part to say humanity should stand together, but if you want to save yourself, you don't deserve to stand with us.Blindswordmaster said:Huh.
Anyway, on to your finer points before I head home.
As nothing more than little humans, sometimes all we can do is run. Perhaps we can save the world, and all that inhabit it. Perhaps the world does have the supplies to sustain us all, and keep us all safe. And perhaps, humanity will never have to choose the needs of the many or the needs of the few. Perhaps. Perhaps not.
I am more than willing to help people, but I felt this was just a light discussion on what makes you special, or to use my example in this thread "What makes you better than a tree?" I am by no means damning most of humanity, (which was what I was trying to avoid, by the way) I just am curious as to what people think of themselves in a simple situation.
I am sorry to say this, but it sounds as if your a little bit overtly zealous to save everyone. As someone made a point of saying earlier, what if they don't want to be saved? What if they would rather die? Sometimes, people don't want your help, they want their own choice, and they choose to be self destructive sometimes.
I turned my back on no one, sir, and I am a little offended that you felt I was doing so in this thread. Actually, I'm kind of confused what made you take this so seriously. However, I have a home to return to, and they are expecting me.
P.S. If you want to know what makes us special just ask that. You don't really don't have to employ the circle jerk.
