I always get offered as a scrifice by one of my jerk friends that thinks every table is a scrifical alter and that we need to use it right away to please the gods. So he would probably save me only to kill me as soon as he can in order to save himself that selfish ass.

Depends of the apocalypse.
I have an abillity to look positively on just about everything.
In case of zombies:
Im not stupid, im big and knows how to use knifes, swords and guns, and have acces to it.

In case of everything else:
I hate children and I eat too much...

Student doctor... so half worth saving... if only I hadn't intercalated!

Incidentally though, it is my life goal to be one of the people in a white coat who briefly gets the line "No! But I created you! No! No! Nooooo!" as a silouhette looms closer, so that probably flies in the face of the whole 'saving' thing.

I had a dark thought about whether humanity was worth saving at all, but decided instead to see what you guys think about it.

In the case of world shattering disaster, where a flying hero, or whatever you want to save people, shows up, would you be one of the important people worth saving? What skills do you have to make sure you will be saved? Do you even have skills worth saving?

Just think about it. What makes you special enough to be saved from certain doom?
Where's the option "I got skills that means I don't need saving."?

It's really a "let's play god and select a certain type of humanity to live on" kind of thing in my view. I wouldn't save any of the politicians, actors...etc. I'd save people who I knew would be able to cope on the new environment whatever it was and had the best abilities to rebuild society - possibly including professors, doctors, and hunters (soldiers or otherwise).

My mad skills in games will grant me a seat on the ark.

Someone needs to pass on the art of the zerg rush to future generations.

Eagle Scout = Mad Survival Skillz.

I can hunt, fish, gather, start a fire in at least 5 different ways, good at tracking and have a slightly eidetic memory.

I'll be saved.

So I could use different strategies to show you guys I AM worth saving.
1. My skill tree
I do often score high on IQ tests, but I really don't think that's something really important(I could be lying you know). But I have some relatively good programming skills. If 99% of the world would perish you would need someone to make more games *wink*. + I'm a fast learner. Oh, oh, and did I mention I have a vast amount of knowledge in physics and maths?!
2. My looks
I'm by far not a stud, but I ain't no freaking monster. + I am willing to help procreate with just about anyone.
3. My life etics
I'm a really tolerant person. I can easily put aside any cultural, religious, or racial differences and give my best while working with anyone.
I consider that our sole purpose is to help mankind progress while in complete harmony with nature. In the end we must achieve FTL-travelling technology and explore other worlds.
The list could go on, but I'm bored at the time being and need to go places.
Btw: Why does the dude who started the thread, leave the impression he's planning on committing a mass murder kind of thing in which only the "worthy" will be spared?

The end of the world is nothing compared to what I'll do the the "hero" should he not rescue me. Let him consider that into his options before deciding I should be left behind.

It is exceptionally arrogant to believe that one can place a value on a human life. What makes you think that one person is innately superior to another? Though every person is a unique individual, we are all created equal; we are all people. This post is possibly the most sadistic thing I have ever heard. Asking someone to justify their own existence is beyond horrible.
Spoken not in anger, but in understanding.
