Smithing is actually quite fun. I've always wanted to make a sword.. or perhaps a shield. Making those things you dig around in fireplaces with (dunno the english name) feels a bit anti-climatic.

Ahh that's hard. I would be a warrior, most probably an archer, as long as the longbow is available, if not some guy with a sword and shield who doesn't afraid of anything except creepers. Then if i survived lnog enough, i would be a blacksmith, just because.

Warrior for several reasons: 1) Greatest chance of self-made wealth from plunder, 2) Opportunity to observe and invent most advanced technology of the time if I rise through the ranks, 3) life sucks for all of us, so this raises the odds I'll die quickly from a stab wound rather than slowly from plague or starvation.

I would be a knight. Not only because I have the right build, but also because knights were also lords, or the family of lords, and thus were in the upper echelons of society. Actually, even if this were the medieval time period, I would be a lord/knight anyway, as I'm a decedent of a few British and Scottish lords.

Guess that makes me the person standing in a big, nice tent over a huge map and kicking someones ass on the other side of the battlefield because I SAY SO!

... So does that make me a fighter or a monarch?

I'd be the Deity.
What, that's not a profession? Yes it is, I'm the guy who causes most wars!

Otherwise I'd be an Imperial Guard.
Then I can scream at people for picking up an apple, and if they cant pay up, I cut their head off.

Oh, for sure, Entertainer.

I have a deep passion for live theatre (WTF, Firefox, why are you saying I spelled "theatre" wrong? Theatre =/= theater), as well as performing music, and just making people happy in general.

That guy who nobody likes... You know him. The guy who comes knocking on your door with 2 big guys behind him, yelling: "OPEN UP AND GIVE ME THE FUCKING MONEY OR SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN!"
Yea... The guy who collects taxes. :D

Alternately, the judge. Because even though some of you get to arrest the criminal scum (others might even get to be them.. xD) I'll be the one who decides how they'll die. ^^

I would be a monk in a monistary, transcribing books and such. It would be hard getting one book transcribed every 20 years or so. but still a noble goal.

Well, I'd probably choose crafter, because artisans and merchants are where the progress is at. They're the ones who started to undermine noble authority in Medieval Cities.

Either a scribe or a Scholar, something would have me locked in a room with my head buried in books. I do that already now so why change right?

Knowledge of the 21st century and you ask me what I'll be? A man of wisdom and sage, of course! Very probably the king's advisor and speaker of sooth!

I spent much of my childhood helping on my grandparents farm, and I'm involved in the SCA, so I'm familiar with basic leatherworking and smithing. Realistically, I'd probably end up being a tenant farmer, and likely to be called up for levy duty, since I participate in SCA armoured combat.

Woodsman. If i ran afowl(get it, fowl? cause hunters hunt fowl?.........forget it T_T) with the law i could just run off in to the woods and survive there and they'd never find me.

The land belongs to the king mah butt! I rule this land!

Pope. Secular power was subservient to the church back then, so even kings jumped when the Pope said so. Of course, that was mostly because he could excommunicate them, meaning they would (a) go to hell and (b) made it legal and right for their knights and lords to revolt. So the head of the church pretty much ran Europe.

Oh, and he signed all his letters "servant of the servants of God." That's just adding insult to injury.

Merchant. You get to travel all around, and don't really have enemies (besides bandits).
