At the moment I'm pumping myself up for two concerts in March.

Nero (Dubstep, Drum and Bass, House)

and Enter Shikari (A mash of Post-Hardcore, Trance, Metal, Dubstep and Drum and Bass)

And for those who a wondering, Nero's on the 16th and Shikari's on the 19th :D

Everything on this list. I have a very wide taste in music.

I don't get people that can only listen to one genre of music. Although that was my attitude three years a go.

The music I hate is music without any soul to it. You know those endless pop songs that are just for mindless drones of society.

:)

I'll listen to most music as long as the song has some meaning. But my favourite type (Or rather the music that my iPod is most filled with) is a lot of prog rock. I like songs with stories tied in. XD *Hence why Coheed & Cambria are my fave band*

I listen to, but not exclusively to Progressive Metal, Drum and Bass (Including Jungle and Breakbeat), Dubstep (no Mainstream brostep shit), Post-Dubstep, Alternative Rock (Including Grunge and Post-Grunge), Indie, Expermental/Progressive/Dream Pop, Future Garage, Electronica, Shoegaze, and last but certainly not least Trip-Hop, and Downtempo.

Agreed. I'm a metalhead myself. People always seem to forget metal.

OT: Yeah, metal. As it has been said.

I didn't vote yet, but the majority of my collection consists of Manowar, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Overkill and Type-O Negative. I have developed a great appreciation for chiptune lately, namely the Commodore-64 stuff I used to listen to. I also have a CD of tunes I ripped from Unreal and UT99 that I listen to on occasion.

Where's the all option?

I don't listen to a particular genre, if I hear a good song I'll listen to it again. whether it's by Coldplay or Scooter.

Classic rock FTW!!! All music has good songs (okay, I have yet to find a dubstep I like but still...), its just that for me, rock has the best "good to bad" ratio.

If you're gonna separate techno and dubstep, you might as well separate rock and metal. Unlike dubstep and Techno, there actually is a difference between Rock and Metal

Little bit of Hip-Hop/Instrumental hip hop, Dubstep, techno, some music from anime/video games soundtracks, plus rock. You know I'll really listen to anything as long as gets my attention even crappy music.

But this theme will stay as one of my favorite songs ever

Whatever takes my fancy. I have a lot of different types of music, but the amount of music I listen to is actually quite small. Some things I won't go near; Dubstep, rap and RnB I just despise.

You just had to put in "other". Everyone will ( and did) choose that to look sophisticated. And so did I!

I listen to whatever I like. From the heaviest of death metal, like Vader or Behemoth, to the bubbly-gummiest of pop, like Aqua or Lady Gaga. From Abba to Queen. Tegan and Sara to Devin Townsend. Progressive metal, symphonic metal, black metal, trance, ska, classical, opera, film soundtracks, female fronted indie-ish stuff... if I like it, I like it.

That said, there are a few genres I just can't take. Some just do nothing for me (most rap and RnB), and some I just find actively unpleasant to listen to (country).

Can I just say anything? Cause I'll pretty much listen to anything if I like how it sounds. But mostly, a lot of metal, rock, and a bit of pop.

I'm a classical musician by trade, but I listen to HipHop/RnB/Rap, basically rhythm-based hook-heavy danceable music the most outside of work. Classic Rock is my genre in terms of all-time favorite, but that type of music doesn't really exist right now, at least in the mainstream.

Modern Rock is terrible, but Rap and Hip-Hop aren't afraid of experimentation, and because of the prevalence of sampling, they're able to blend elements of every genre into their own. I just don't see much creativity, sincerity, variety, or skill in Modern Rock output.

I listen mainly to most forms of Electronica: house, electro house, drum and bass, hardstyle, happy hardcore, techno, trance, dubstep, anything with strong beats to dance to.

Depends on how diverse the genre is I guess.

Mostly Dubstep and Moombahton, but really I'm fond of any electronic music so long as it's clever and bassy.

For that matter, as a musician I'm really fond of any genre.
