I'm using Mac OSX. I hate Windows with a passion. I only use windows for two reasons and two only. One because I'm at school and I have no choice but to use it. Secondly, for gaming. But gaming for Mac is starting to increase thanks to steam. So it will soon turn to one reason.

I am putting "7" on my mac. But it's for an online class that I'm taking for Video Game Programing. If they had the software for Mac then i won't need to open the gate of evil on my Mac.

Vista because it came with both my laptop and desktop

No. It's not as bad as everyone says.
I'm a little hesitant to upgrade to 7 because, from the adverts, it's exactly the same as Vista (seriously, I have not seen them advertise any features that weren't in vista).

My desktop uses windows 7, and my laptop uses windows XP. I don't want to bother changing the OS, and they both work pretty well. Windows 7 is awesome.

Linux. Windows is frustrating and buggy as fuck, and I hate Apple. Linux works perfectly, it runs all the games I ever play either natively (Penumbra, Neverball, etc.) or perfectly in Wine (Starcraft, Steam, yeah). The only thing I gripe about is that the printer I own doesn't have a Linux driver, but that's because it was a crappy one I got for free so I can't complain much anyway. I love the system, I love how everything's free and it's all so easy to make my own. I have access to everything, nothing is beyond my control, I never get viruses, it never, ever crashes or bugs out, it's all too perfect to be true, but it is true. And free. I love Linux. Yep.
You can run Steam on Wine? I've never been able to. At least, when I had Ubuntu. Then a virus pretty much devoured my system, and I replaced it with Suse.

I loved Ubuntu, and I love Suse even more, but my adapter isn't very good right now and doesn't work for Suse. This means no internet, which is a biggie. So I use XP right now, and soon, I'll get a better adapter. (Also, Suse has the crappy, new Amarok, which is annoying.)

Vista/Ubuntu 10.4 Dual-boot. Vista for games and other Windows-specific programs, and Linux for everything else.

Ubuntu, because of a few interesting UI gimmicks (Apple doesn't have a monopoly on that) and greater ability to do weird computer-type stuff. The only complaint I have with it is the lack of game development for it.

Windows XP. If I were to upgrade to Windows 7, this rig would melt down. Yep, this thing is old and it's about time for a new one.

I still use Vista, 64 Bit.

It is, despite it's reputation, a good stable operating system.

Vista actually fixed literally every problem it had with service pack 2. I almost didn't want to upgrade to 7 it was working so well. But thats in the past, and 7 kicks ass.
