Poll: What Race/Profession will you play in Guild Wars 2?

A while ago, like last year I think I made a thread like this but not all the classes were announced and it was before the Sylvari Overhaul.

So what class will you play and what race will you be?

For me my first one will be... BRACE YOURSELVES...

A Human... Warrior... The most cliche and mundane choice but I like it.

My 2nd character will be a Sylvari Thief, but I haven't decided on the rest.

So again, what class and race will you be?

Human Mesmer. hell yeah.

Human necromancer, after that elementalist, not sure what race she will be.

I will play a Warrior, Necromancer, Elementalist and Mesmer. One will definitely be a human(probably Ele), one will be an Asura(Mesmer probably), one will be a Sylvari(Necromancer probably) and one will be a Charr or Norn(definitely Warrior and which ever is the War the other will be my Guardian or Ranger).

Like I've said elsewhere, I've been leaning toward Humans lately. I loves me some Asura, the Sylvari are a curiosity, the Norn are... Norn (no explanation needed. heh), and naturally the Charr are badass. But the Humans... The Human Ranger male has a roundhouse kick in his Sword chain, and that's awesome. The Humans also have Hounds of Balthazar elite, and who wouldn't want to supplement their Necromancer minions with hellhounds? My Mesmer was going to be Human from the time I started following Guild Wars 2...

Good stuff, go humans!

Also I voted Ranger, but I'm going to play all of them eventually.

Most likely a necromancer of some sort, either Charr or Sylvari, most likely a Sylvari Necromancer.

After that, definitely a Human elementalist.

This is my intial plan (in order of what type of classes I will make first)-

Human Thief. The Assassin is my favourite profession from GW so I'm looking forward to bringing him into the sequel (he's going to be my assassin ascendent).

Charr Nercomancer. The Charr look cool as a Nercomancer (from that trailer showcasing the Nerco). I have a strong feeling that we will see hundred of players playing as a Charr Warrior or Guardian so I want to be at least be different.

Sylvari Ranger. That class and profession seen to go hand in hand (a humanoid plant as a archer of the wilderness). Well I mainly want to use have that plant wolf (exclusive to the Sylvari) as my pet.

Norn Warrior. Sure it's typical but if I going to be a warrior I may as well played as a big muscle guy.

Asura Mesmer. I was orginally going to have my Asura as an Engineer but due to the recent Mesmer trailer I am more convince to played as a Mesmer (besides I hate the fact that Engineer got the least amount of weapons to used among the professions).

Or a Sylvari, they look quite interesting. I'm glad the changed them from being generic elves.
As for class, well I?ll have to test them first. I like ranger in guild wars so probably that and I also tend to like roles centring around disabling enemies so possibly Mesmer which I didn?t play in guild wars because the casting animation looks silly and yes that is one of the worst reasons to not play something ever. Necromancer is always fun as well...argghh I?m torn.
Of course I will eventually end up making a character from every race an trying every class anyway (unless something puts me of buying the game, that is) and if you ask again in tomorrow my answer would probably be different because I?m indecisive like that.

I'm probably going to start with an asura engineer, but some other choices I plan on trying are something mesmer and the hypocrite of necromancer sylvari.

Human Guardian, Guardian feels like it would fit a Human best plus I like the looks of the personal story from the small amount i've seen of it.

I might end up being a Norn though after reading the first book (Ghosts of Ascalon) and finding myself liking Gullik the most.

My favorite character back in the first Guild Wars was a dervish, but unfortunately they're not in the game (yet). I'll probably go for engineer. sounds like an interesting class.

I'd say a lot of people want to try and play it safe and stick to what they know for their first character.

Asura Engineer. I loved the gnomes in WoW, and I think I'm going to love the Asura a whole lot as well!

I'm probably going to go with a Sylvari Ranger. I've been a ranger loyalist for quite some time in almost every game I play. I may go with a Charr Ranger also... haven't decided yet.

EDIT: I will probably play as a Guardian in whatever race I don't choose for my ranger.

I have so many character idea lined up(in order)
Sylvari Necromancer.
Asura Engineer.
Norn Guardian.
Sylvari Elementist.
Human Thief.
Charr Warrior.
Maybe a human Mesmer.
I won't have much of a life when it comes out.

I will play a Human Warrior, I always play as myself first. Since I am an average well built white male with a buzz cut who does karate and boxing I generally end up as a fighter/warrior/whatever melee class.

As an added bonus I beat all 4 GW games with each profession, and I enjoyed Warrior the most. Decapitate version of shock axe brings the damage and drops nubs in epic spikes. Hammer warrior can generally control a battlefield while calling shots for the team too.

I've been planning on an Asuran Necromancer since the game was announced in 2007 (so yeah, before Necromancers were confirmed as a class). The Mesmer is the first class to actually tempt me away from that, and the Sylvari are an interesting race, so that could well be my second character.

I guess so, I personally am picking human as to roleplay in a sense my as the descendant of my GW1 character.

Probably a human or a sylvari thief as a first character. And from there everything else of course.
