There's one on my forehead from when I was a baby and smashed my head off of this weird stone eagle statue my parents used to have.
I have one on my left eyebrow where it had previously been pierced, but my body rejected it and pushed it out. Twice.
One on my torso, right side, about a hand-width down from my boob... it's skinny and white, looks like it's been there forever. NO idea where it came from.
One on my right knee from crashing my bike after riding down a hill and dragging my bare feet on the ground in an attempt to make it stop (instead of pedaling backwards, of course).
And the last one I can think of is on my right 2nd toe. I had some sort of bite on it. Scratching it brought no relief, so I rubbed it. I rubbed it so hard that the skin let go and rolled up under my thumb.

I have:
A few on my knees and elbows from falls.
A small burn scar on my left arm, where hair no longer grows.
A medium sized scar on my back from getting whipped with a thin branch by a pal (accident). That branch was like "swish, swish!" in the wind.

What's up with all the damn black & white polls around here? Yes, I have more than one. No, I don't have LOTS. I've got two instead of one, is that lots?

Anyway - I got one you can barely see, as it's inside my right eyebrow. A wooden stilt fell onto it when I was younger. My other one is a bit of odd tissue on my left leg - I was on holiday once, and some beep had decided to leave a pen between the mattress and the side of the bed, with the sharp point up. As I pulled up my leg while lying in the bed my leg went right past the pen, leaving me with a nice clean cut straight across my kneecap.

One from surgery when I had a tumor in my right hip, 7-8 on my hands from xacto knives and so on, one on my upper chest from getting slightly impaled on a stick... that's 'bout it.

- Scar on the top of my head from falling over as a kid and splitting my head open.
- Scar under my lip from a boxing match.
- Scars inside of my mouth from my lower gums being severed because of said boxing match.
- Scars on the roof of my mouth from re-constructive surgery from said boxing match.
- Scars on my back from surgeries.
- More scars on my back from doing dumb teenage shit.
- Tattoos count as scars, so +10 for that.
- Scars on my hands and arms from working and fights.

Most of my scars are unintentionally self-inflicted. There are several on my hands from cutting food, sawing logs, being scratched by a bedspring sticking out of my bed, etc. My legs are also rather dinged up and scarred up from work and the nasty habit of picking at scabs when I was little. Also, there's one inside my mouth from when I was age 6 and accidentally shoved a stick through my cheek/lip/corner of my mouth while playing with my cousins. Yeah, I was a little masochist as a child.

One on the back of my head (split my head open on a coffee table corner when I was 3), one on my right index finger (parrot bite), one one my right elbow (burn), two on my right forearm (hobby knife), one below my lip on the right side of my face (burn and a subsequently bad zit). I've got alot of scars as one can probably tell.

I apparently scar very easily. I've gotten about five scars in the past year or two.
Most of them are on my hands, and none of them are very impressive, except MAYBE the last two.

I've actually got a small mystery scar on the back of my left hand, below the knuckle of the index finger. I have no clue how that got there, or how long it's been there.
I have one on top of my left thumb, that's only been there for about 2 months, so I'm not sure it counts as a scar. I got that from my fridge. I opened it and dropped something on the floor. As I stood up from retrieving it, the bottom of one of the shelves, of which a piece had chipped off, cut me, and it still hasn't gone away.
I have a BEE STING on the inside of the middle knuckle of my right middle finger. That's been there for TWO YEARS. The bee actually stung me while I was on the bus, which is pretty damn weird.
As for the last two, one of them is on the bottom of my right palm, and the other the side of my left ankle. I got these while snorkeling in Maui. My family and I were on vacation about six months ago, and saw some pretty neat shit while snorkeling, and we'd heard about this one section of beach called "Mile Marker 14," where there was supposed to be some really amazing coral. Now, usually the first 20 feet out from where you can start swimming is pretty shallow, but it opens up pretty fast. Not with this beach, no sir. In fact, the further out I went, the shallower it got. Now I've gotten torn up pretty bad before. In fact, I've had one of my toenails almost knocked off, and that's healed. I don't know if it's because the cuts were from coral, or if they got something from the ocean in it, but they never healed. I got some on my calves from this incident, and those healed, but for some reason the one on the ankle (That one was pretty bad/deep.) and the one on my hand never did.

- A scar on the crown of my head that makes my hair part weird. (Terribly annoying!) I got it when I fell off my bed and hit a drawer handle & needed 3 stitches.
- A C-section scar
- One near my ankle where I cut myself with my own toenail haha
- Numerous little scars that I don't remember where they came from (i.e. one on my knuckle, chin, etc)

I only have three that I know of;

- One on my left hand after a class mate cracked me over the fingers with a paddle
- A faint one across my right wrist, after my cat decided to make me look a bit more emo (I'm not even sure why that left a scar, it wasn't a particularly deep wound to begin with)
- One on my bottom lip after crashing my bicycle on the way to school, like, 8 years ago.

This is probably gonna look like a very odd topic, but it hasn't been done before, and I was wondering if many people have scars (and what they are from) and maybe how you feel about having them.

In my case, I have lots of scars, since I'm very very clumsy. Anyways, these are my scars:

A little scar tissue on my left cheek and under my lip from being bitten by a dog when I was 10
On my left arm which is a burn from when I was 2 or something
On my left leg from shaving (yeh... that scar just annoys me really)
On my right forearm from something at some point
And finally I have a scar on the top of my left foot for something I don't remember.

Personally most of my scars I'm fine with, except the one on my left arm and face. My burn will never go away. It's only like 4cm across or less, since I've grown alot since I got it, but I always have to cover it up in the sun etc.
The one on my face is purely something I hate aesthetically (it's less than 1cm on my cheek, and you only see the one on my lip if I stretch it a certain way). People generally only notice it when I point it out, but I have weird coloured eyes, some freckles, and a mole as well, so I think it just adds to imperfections I don't want. I'm not vain because it doesn't really bother me as much as I'm making it sound, but I would definately prefer if it were not there.

Basically I'd like to ask you how many scars you have and what they are from. Also whether you like or dislike them - and why.

This is search bar approved (probably because it might be a very obscure topic)...
I've got a few scars. some from general scrapes, a few on my hips from collisions against rocks, one on my finger from being stabbed by my own scalpel, but the big one is on my right cheek from when a guard dog I lived near bit my face. It's nasty, but it taught me to respect the personal space of others.

I have two of them--a remnant of a black widow bite on my left arm about the size of a U.S. dime and one on my left hand from a close call with a lawn mower blade (for which I have yet to forgive my brother).

Dude, that would have scarred me! Jeez, sick people in the world.
Haha, your friend sucks. I know you will probably hate to hear this, but I doubt that that dude was just pulling a prank... You're lucky you got out when you did, but I'm sure you've already come to that conclusion. Thanks for sharing!

I still don't feel like a "hero" I just did what I had to to get away.
Ok, if you don't want the medal, then your dog gets it, for being one loyal K-9.(I know they love their masters and all, but "A friend in need, is a friend indeed.")

I've got one on my hand from when I cut my hand on some glass a while back. Its very tiny and almost unnoticable so I don't mind it to much.

If anything, I think having scars is pretty cool. As soon as I can use one of my awesome scar-lies to trick a woman into bed I'll be sitting pretty.
Haha I think that scar would be worth it a bit - though you could avoid losing the eye, that would be like admitting defeat!

I do find it comforting that so many people have have lots of scars actually. It maybe is to do with gamers just not caring or being distracted all the time - even at a young age.
Then again I highly doubt a woman could seduce someone with scars... with guys though it can make them look battle-hardened or whatever.

A woman with scars could seduce me any time she wants. I like women that have stories to tell, and a good story almost always needs a scar to prove it.
Final quotation - I promise!

Don't want to make you feel bad, but I found the quotation mistakes funny :).

I kinda agree with you on how scars have stories to tell; but they don't always need a scar. I suppose they do give a good way of remembering key moments though, and people's scars do say alot about a person.
