I pressed anime/japan, though it wouldn't necessarily describe me perfectly.
I play a ton of video-games, know a wee bit too much about tabletop RPGs even though I have never played them (only watched as a kid and got info from various sources), and I am not above watching even obscure movies if they pique my interest. Still, Japmedia (a blanket term I use to describe anime, manga, japanese light-novels, JRPG's, eroges and visual novels) is arguably my most prominent interest and that is where I am most knowledgeable about silly geeky stuff.

Damn! I don't know what to be more impressed by: the fact that you've read that many or that you've kept count. 0_o
I started writing them down early when I was bored during class one day.

You're a bandgeek aren't you?

Is that 2,723 comic sized books (20-30 pages) or TPB sized (100-150), either way I'm impressed.
It's the regular kind of 180-200 page volumes.

And to be fair, I started reading manga ten years ago and never lost interest. So I've had a lot of time.

Video gaming. I mingle a bit with the anime/Japan and table-top gaming groups but I'm definitely not as big a geek for those as I am for gaming.

I guess I'm also a music geek as well.

Pretty much all of them but anime. I like a couple of them, but never got really in-depth into it. Out of the above, probably videogaming the most, but I enjoy all of them.

Video-gaming most certainly, though I enjoy a lot of general `geek` culture.

I would definitely call myself a `gamer`.
I know a lot of people don't like to call themselves as such because they feel it has a negative connotation thanks to all the dickheads that hang around in our communities like a bad smell. But I'd rather keep associating and be a positive example than give up the term to the fuckheads.

I just wish it was easier for me to make more friends who game. I don't `look` like I play games (however that is?).

Gaming, Japan/anime (not so much manga) and comic books. I cosplay and attend cons which I suppose will be included in the Japan option.

More gaming than anime I think, but still a mix of the two. I know nothing of table-top gaming. I don't think movie-going really counts as geek culture that much though. Too many people watch films. Unless it was specifically sci-fi and/or fantasy or something.

I guess i'm a movie-geek, first and foremost. I like to believe that i know a lot of very obscure movies and always had a certain appreciation for arthouse cinema. I think i've started watching David Lynch movies when i was fourteen. ^^

Obviously Video Games (why would I be here if not?) but also is there a subsection for people who spend too much time trying to figure out continuity and stuff like that for series (comic/film/TV/games/anything)? Because I do that. Too much.

I suppose Video Games and Anime/Manga though I don't "identify" myself as either of those things. I'm just a normal dude that happens to like those things quite a lot. I've been less into the video games lately, admittedly. Mostly due to industry stagnation and not wanting to encourage certain business practices. Then again, thanks to that I've actually been socializing and reading a lot more lately which has been quite nice.

That's looking like it might be turning around in the next few months though. What with the new Tomb Raider, the upcoming Bioshock and FFXIV releases. But until those last two come around I'll just raid a few tombs here and there while I translate some manga and stuff on the side.

Wait, since when is watching movies considered "geeky"? Who DOESN'T watch movies?

Also, out of that list, videogames. Though the poll is kind of broken. I mean, there are videogames that AREN'T geeky, right? Wouldn't it make more sense to organize these things by what makes them geeky, like having "Science fiction" and "fantasy" on the poll? I mean, watching TV isn't geeky, but watching Dr. Who sure as hell is.

Out of the list? Movie, probably. But I'd expand that to include both geeky movies and TV shows, and anime, which is made up of geeky movies and TV shows[footnote]Home theater is a pretty big hobby of mine, since it dovetails so nicely with pretty much everything else I'm into. Even when I'm just reading, I can use my stereo for background music.[/footnote]. Gaming too, but that includes both video- and table top. I'm pretty much your classic, old style nerd when it comes to stuff like that. About the only stereotypically geeky thing I'm not heavily into is Western comics, and that's more because I don't want to spend the money needed to get into them than because I don't enjoy them (I definitely do like comics.)

Videogaming, subsection hardcore, non-nintendo, PC gaming.

Though I am interested in playing tabletop RPGs in college or university.

And I really need to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I can't work myself up to do it(it's the only one that I am even remotely interested in, as Naruto's bullshit writing killed any sense of me liking anime/manga)

I said 'Other', the 'other' bascially being 'Art geek/nerd' and I use the term 'art' in a more encompassing sense.

I love video games, comics, movies, television shows, literature, animation(Both western and eastern varieties), illustration... All for generally the same reasons. I tend to consider all of those art and design creations in some way shape or form. I also tend to be of an odd variation on typical nerd enjoyments... I love comics, but I tend to not really care for the 'superhero' comics. I tend to prefer reading the more alternative stuff(Scott Pilgrim, Persepolis, Atomic Robo, Bone, Sky Doll, etc. Also many webcomics), the hero comics admittedly just bore and confuse me usually. =/ And when it comes to video games I admit gameplay tends to not be kept on as tight a leash as it seems with other people(I.E. if it doesn't have X amount of gameplay it is 'not a game' or something like that) and I favor the atheistic and story telling capabilities of it rather than exclusively how entertaining it is(Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just not how I see it).

Also... I admit I'm not a nerd in the way of science or mathematics either. I enjoy science, but not necessarily physics or chemistry or anything like that. My favorite sciences are biology and the forensic sciences. Oh and botany. I have an odd thing for botany. Love me some plants.
