Both do, but I do have to say, being a guy really sucks.

We're always taught to be bread winners and if we fail, its always our fault. Usually male bullies are more aggressive, women are given the benefit of a doubt BECAUSE THERE WOMEN ( Don't act like it isn't true). We also have to deal with the possibility of being drafted, getting jumped ( How often do you hear about a women getting jumped? I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but its usually a guy)

plus a women is free to say all Guy's think with their junks, but if a guy did that, he'd be picking up his teeth from the floor and picking up the ashes of his computer from his flames.

But at the same time its not like both genders don't go through shit. We all have stuff that we don't want to deal with. But shit happens :]

I think socially men and women both have problems they have to deal with, but I think biologically women have it somewhat worse (depending on how you look at it), because our biology is just more unstable than mens'.

Even if your period doesn't come with vomiting/fainting/crushing pain, it is still uncomfortable, inconvenient, and inevitably comes with unpleasant hormonal side effects like moodiness, skin problems, nausea, headaches etc. I believe that women who suffer absolutely no ill effects from their period are actually in the minority, and are enviably lucky!

I say this not to claim that women are better, or fighting some kind of noble fight, but merely to back up my point that at any given time during your cycle (effectively, at any time at all), the release of one of the multitudinous hormones involved in the process can suddenly give you any of the symptoms I mentioned, not to mention additional annoyances like water retention (so none of your clothes are comfortable), breast tenderness etc.

We're not making it up - in fact, what we actually complain about is (depending on personality I guess) probably only the half of what we experience - you get used to a certain level of general discomfort, so it's a pretty safe bet that if we're complaining of cramps, they're actually pretty unpleasant ones.

A note on the multiple orgasm thing too - while I agree that it is nice, as a woman, to theoretically be able to have multiple orgasms, there is a large percentage of women (apparently), who don't even get to have orgasms at all. Double edged sword there...although I suppose guys have their own one in that even though they are more likely to actually have an orgasm, they have the pressure of having to, er, stand to attention, as it were!

Guys get a lot of shit simply for being male, even if they aren't sexist and have trouble getting away with many things that women can get away with more easily.

But honestly, I'd say women have it worse. Equality in labour, pay, society and law (mostly in developing countries) still have a long way to go. Plus dudes don't get raped nearly as often.

I also think this is not the best idea. "Who has it worse?" encourages people to get angry and the answer, statistically and anecdotally, is very clear. It's just a tad naïve to suggest that women are better off than men, if you will excuse my saying so.

We have periods. Men will never, ever understand how much that sucks. It'll stick with you for most of your life and nothing good comes of it.
yeah, that combined with the constant social pressure to care so much about looks, and then the act of childbirth (and the early years, before the child gains some maturity, and hell, even until they move out, but that effects both mothers and fathers to varying degrees depending on the parents themselves, and for the most part the parents do not regret it, so yeah.) would make it a bit more suckish to be a woman.

however, i also agree with this guy

We will never know because we will never truly be both.
so that is why i voted they are both equal. there is enough variation to argue for and against either side on a person to person basis, and without being both, we cannot truly know.

Edit: i mean to be stating this as if it applies to women in developed countries, where the law allows for equality in basically everything in regards to gender. in some developing countries, women clearly do have it much worse.

Making less money
You make good points, other then this one. Pretty much every study done shows that males and females with the same qualifications and experiance make the same amounts in the same jobs.

The reason there are fewer females in higher paying jobs is because many of them take time off to have kids, then come back on a reduced schedule for up to a decade while they raise them. Most men take a few weeks off when the kids are born then go back to working full time.

It's not sexist, it's just how it is. Men who take a few years off are just as much behind.

Well, it is simple, to be a woman.

There are parts of the world where women have no rights, and other parts where rape is used to punish.

I'd think it'd suck to be a woman, not only do you bleed every month, you give birth, have had a history of being seen as second-class and are likely to be hit on relentlessly at a pub. Also, peeing while standing up is a great perk of being a guy.

Here is a little story for you.

Contrary to popular belief, It is not EASY to be a man
the requirements are endless
But for the sake of time, I'll cover the essential lessons we're taught from birth

1) You shall not
and I mean
All encompassing
Legally Binding
Federally Mandated Standards type
SHALL NOT
Be Weak
This is not negotiable

2) The sins of the Father pass to the Son
You will always remind someone of someone else's
Failings and Indiscretions
They will take it out on you
Deal with it

3) Regardless of the burden you bear
the world is running short on stock of shoulders to cry on
If Atlas ain't bitchin, then you've got no excuse
Grit your teeth grin and bear it

4) You are paid more than a woman
Because you're expected to
You're only as good as
your word
your genetalia
and your Bank Account

Rosetta Stone
And Viagra are available
But cash is hard to fake
besides
You still have to buy the first two

So make bread, cheddar, and lettuce
or be worthless

5) In a time of crisis,
Women and Children are rescued first
there are futures and life bearers at stake
you either had your chance to help make the next generation
or you weren't worth breeding with in the first place

So if the ship is sinking
you're expected to be your own Promiscuous Jesus

And save your fucking self

But if you don't save anyone else, you're a coward

6) You don't want your homophobic friends labeling you gay,
so you best be good with the ladies
If you're shitty at seeing titties, you're a loser
If you're too good, you're a pig

7) Be dapper
But if you're too concerned with your looks, you're a pretty boy
If you aren't concerned enough, you're a troll

8) If your father never comes 'round
or passes before your passage into adulthood,
You become the Man of the house
Nevermind that you haven't survived puberty yet,
We're all waitin on you kid, hurry up

9) Sacrifice to get ahead, 'cause if you sleep,
you're dead
You're a single ant mingling with mindless minions a million strong
Do not get left behind or trampled underfoot
They will eat you

10) In confrontation, defeat is not an option
If you never back down, you're a bully
if you always back down, you're a pussy

Don't expect any remorse, none of us got it
refer to #1

11) Emotions are too expensive for you
Time is money
and the clock is ticking
you eat, sleep, fuck, and hopefully die for a worthy cause
And if you're lucky,
you'll get to squeeze in some drunken mischief

12) Labours of Heracles I'd rather endure than this Horseshit
We've been dealt a crap hand from a deck our forefathers stacked against us
it's not fair
but neither is life so at least they didn't lie to us
I'm tired
of living up to someone else's standards
I'm tired
of being held to tenets as old as Rome
If you've Exhausted
as many options as I have, then I offer this solution
If Women can make a revolution
to reclaim their identity BEYOND feeling
Then we must make one to move back toward it

I realize that most men cannot afford the luxury
of using a pen as an outlet to plug into
So allow me to be of assistance
Let us re-write the list to which we are enlisted

1) Strong hearts are defined by more than a low BPM rate
and Stalwart friends are worth more than gold
these are called Exercises in Love
Be Not Afraid

2) Water rends cracks and valleys through Granite
And rusts Steel into nothingness
Your tears are stronger than muscles
it's a fact

3) You can fuck as often as you like
But a Soulmate
is a wish too scary to whisper for fear of jinxing it

So proclaim it to the world that you may make it so
Relationships take work because they're worth it
dive into Affection with Kamikaze feverance
you don't have long
so make it count

4) There is a world of warmth and emotion awaiting us all
If only we had the courage to grasp it
it is time to evolve
And as it is with everything else,
No one's gonna do it for us
We have to do it for ourselves
Because it's always Simple
And never Easy
to be a Man.

I'm not really sure, seeing as how I've never been a woman. But here are some interesting statistics you may or may not have known about men in the United States:

- 93% of workplace deaths and serious injuries are suffered by men
- 60% of the homeless are single men, 40% of whom are veterans
- Depending on the state, 40-70% of the time custody of children in divorces is awarded exclusively to mothers
- Alcoholism is more than twice as common among men as women
- Men make up the majority of suicides
- Men can be conscripted

Men have an incredibly overactive sex drive. That alone defines our entire existence and why it is so painful

and here comes the complaining about bleeding twelve times a year. you know, if you bleed a few to times, so what? it means your body is functioning normally. for us men, if you bleed from your penis, it means we have cancer. so be proud you can bleed from down there and not die.
Fucked up on so many levels, bro

Both genders have their own ups and downs I think, but being a man can definitely suck.

Consider:

If you're an ugly woman, you might get hung up on not living up to the social standard, but regardless of how ugly you are, you still have boobs, and somewhere, some guy likes your boobs.

If you're an ugly man that isn't also rich, you're screwed.

All things considered, I think it's slightly easier to be a woman because it's a lot harder to end up dying alone, unloved and forgotten.

EDIT: Rainbows and sunshine
