No you're not. There's no law against it, no supreme being that's forcing you to do anything really. Anything someone does as a result of society's wishes is just that.
Yeah... that's exactly what I was getting at. That's why I said 'pretty much' and not 'are'.

I think it's ridiculous, however at the same time, I am completely indifferent.

but when the baby is born the women has to handle the baby crying and change diapers and so, and so, and so. well lets make one thing clear: ITS NOT JUST THE WOMEN. in most cases at least. hell, in most cases the women is out supporting the family and the father is the one who gets stuck. there's part of my reason for thinking that. so leave your side of the argument and reason.
What strange and exotic land do you come from where that is actually the case? I do hope you have a source to support your claims.
sadly, no. but come on, you have to admit its not all cases that you are the one stuck with the baby.

For most things I would say women have it worse, however here in the US men can be drafted and women can't (Only during an active draft which I know isn't happening now but could very well happen soon). Getting forced into service and tortured in POW camp would, i believe (while Ive never experienced either), be a hell of a lot worse than a period. I feel I should make it clear that I still voted that women have it worse, however having never been one I can't be sure. Im content with my life.

Just like any other role-playing situation, it depends on the mission. There are plusses and minuses for each gender depending on what you need to get done. Example:
Driving a car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KiC03_wVjc&list=SL
vs imitating one: http://cars.failblog.org/2011/03/23/funny-car-photos-who-needs-wheels-when-you-have-this-guy-around/
vs parking one (or talking sh!t about it): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85VOb3VpAxo

It probably sucks more to be a woman. Not saying being a man hasn't got it's hardships, and sometimes it feels like people underestimate our gender specific problems, but we still probably have it at least a little easier than women.

(warning: thread may contain sexual stuff)i think i just opened up a portal to hell, because i think its sucks to be a man more than it sucks to be a woman. LET THE BATTLE BEGIN.
us dudes have to deal with terrible , TERRIBLE stuff. stuff like sitting on your balls, getting exited with jeans on, having a free tent in the morning and trying to hide it from your family, and so on. i know a lot of you will start saying women have to give birth to a child, and i realize you have to carry it around for 9 months and not drink alcohol and caffeine, and then there's giving birth. BUT DON'T YOU GET SOMETHING GOOD OUT OF IT? you get a child of your own, someone to love and that will love you in return, to slowly raise and be proud of. and some of you might be thinking: but when the baby is born the women has to handle the baby crying and change diapers and so, and so, and so. well lets make one thing clear: ITS NOT JUST THE WOMEN. in most cases at least. hell, in most cases the women is out supporting the family and the father is the one who gets stuck. there's part of my reason for thinking that. so leave your side of the argument and reason.
EDIT: unless you have actually given birth, you have no right to argue about that subject.
Yay adolescent mysoginy!!

Wow, you've got your head firmly ensconced in your ass, and you obviously have very little experience towards women.

I personally think it would be fucking horrible[i/] to be a woman. Think about it, if you're forced to live in the vicinity of one, all the suckiness of their life almost automatically spills over on to you. It sucks so bad to be a woman that they can't always take it, and generally need to take it out on a man to feel better. They ***** and moan about equality and such, but let's forget about all of that and just focus on the physical side of being a woman. Sitting on your balls, getting inadvertant wood(ceases to be an issue once you're done being a teenager), all these things all through your life pale in comparaison to one single menstrual cycle[i/] ( or so I can only assume). Add to this the host of other real or imagined socio-economic issues that woman must face( not to say that men dont face their own socio-economic issues) So yeah, as a man, I would definitely say that being a woman must surely suck balls.

As a woman, I think being a woman is easier than being a man. But obviously both genders have shit to deal with.

We have periods. Men will never, ever understand how much that sucks. It'll stick with you for most of your life and nothing good comes of it.
But that's your body's way of allowing you to conceive properly.
Your Statement is based on a false argument therefore your message is INVALID....

Good Day To You Sir

I'll add to the OP by saying child birth is an optional thing for a woman.
And men are conscripted.

But it'd suck to go through periods, and one in four(?) women will come across some kind of sexual abuse during their lives.

I think this kind of depends on whether you are talking socially or physically?

Because physically, men have it waayyyy better! Stronger, faster, taller. Go to the toilet standing up. No childbirth, periods etc. Only thing is women live longer, but that's arguably a combination of social factors.

Which leads onto the other argument. Socially which has it harder? Hmmm...hard to say. I think both genders have things that suck - kind of depends on the person and their life as to how badly that affects them.

This thread is truely retarded. When you ask "which sucks more" you're implying that they both suck. Sounds like you'd rather just not exist than to be a human. Pretty sad, really. I think both sexes are awesome. I'm happy to be a man, and I'm very happy that there are women too.

I didn't vote because its like this you ask someone which gender has it worse majority will say their gender and when you ask the which gender is better majority will say its their gender.

I don't think anyone would argue "every single case is that way", but people may argue a tendency or a majority, which is what you did.

As a guy, I can't think of a single thing that makes it difficult to be a guy. Seriously, not a damn thing. Granted, that doesn't make me happier to be a guy, which I would rather not be. Anyway, I tip my hat to the women since it is clearly much more difficult.
