Americans are typically like bullies
what you just said makes you part of the problem... lumping all of us together because SOME assholes think and behave a certain way. you have the same exact mindset as the people posting all that crap about the earthquake in Japan being payback for the attacks on Pearl Harbor.

those people think of an entire country of people as being one with their government, and somehow being responsible for what that government decided to do almost SEVENTY years ago.

and you, like many others, appear to believe that all Americans share the same thoughts and opinions of every American that happens to be a complete asshole. some jackass KKK member thinks everyone who isnt white is scum, so i must think that too right? i am a fellow American, afterall.

nobody seems to care that America is one of the most generous countries in the world when it comes to natural disasters. even recently, despite this countries' crippling debt, our people and government still donate billions and billions of dollars to Haiti, Japan, and whoever else suffers such tragedies. pretty surprising, coming from a country of bullies, isnt it?

imo, the mindset youve shown here has the same qualities as racism, its just aimed at a different, and more general group of people. but nobody else ever seems to realize this, unfortunately.

oh well
In these kinds of situations, a certain image comes to mind:

The USA will continue to help where it can, and the rest of the world (the entire continent of Europe, in particular) will continue to hate us when we screw up. It's how life works.

you know what, i dont like japan very much, but i wish no harm to fall on ANYONE. also, it think that the person who made the picture is just as bad as the people in the picture for grouping all americans with a few morons on facebook.

what happen at pearl harbor was a dick move, but it happened during war time on a military base, and the war is over. the people who did it aren't alive (most anyway) anymore. So those morons in the picture can get over it.

Most Americans I know are not like that. But hey, dumbasses will be dumbasses.

My fav (although choosing a fav is like choose who is the best dictator) has to be Michael Miller and Ashley Marie, "apparently god is still upset about pearl harbor". Yes, god gives that massive a fuck about your small poxy country that he waited 60(?) years to make an tsunami happen.

God, the all powerful, all loving, all knowing being ... trivializes his days by looking after USA. He also takes couple of decades to enact revenge compared to the 6 it took to create the world.

So I think we can safely say there are even more arrogant, ignorant people that we first thought. That number is rising at an astonishing rate!

These are idiots who think that the world centers around them and anyone who isn't them or is unlike them in any way is scum. Ignore 'em, kick 'em in the crotch, either way they'll always be idiots.

hey! HEY! We aren't all like that. I was praying for japan and donating (well I couldn't donate unfortunately... :/) but if you take a look most of those people are from the south... so just ignore the U.S.'s lower half, inbreeding has taken its toll there :/

And yes, americans suck, blah blah blah...
well thanks, dick. I didn't know living in Alabama automatically made me a red neck or a bigot!
But i guess that's what i get from living in the dumb dirty south.
and ill have you know that people in the south are indeed sympathetic to what happened in Japan.

It all stems from the problem that a lot of people aren't able to realize that 1940's America and 1940's Japan are not the same countries they are today. Very few of the original people from those countries are still alive. When talking about World War II, I shouldn't say "We" bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but rather "1940's Americans" (more specifically the military and government, not the civilian population) bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
It isn't really just that. IIRC In Japan Pearl Harbor is celebrated as a great military victory, the greatest extent of Japanese military progress, it's solo victory over the United States the major World Power, it's not viewed as "It's sad that the Japanese military attacked the US military" since if you think about it, it's not really sad for the sole reason that they're military, if they had attacked Japan I doubt their attack on whatever Pacific base of the Japanese would go down in American history as "sad". So yah I agree, it's about as sad as Germany and Austria losing WWI, as sad as the French losing the Franco-Prussian war, as sad as Brazil gaining independence from Portugal etc. etc. So really it's not that bad, it's not illegal nor a war crime, what is a war crime however is what Japan did in China especially with Korean Comfort women and Rape of Nanjing, both of which Japan doesn't apologize for and teaches in its schools that it wasn't as bad as it really was. I'd actually accept if they were saying "Oh I was sad about the Earthquake in Japan but then I looked at the death tool of the Rape Of Nanking and then saw that Japan continues to refuse to apologize for it and I felt better" even though that's still flawed and offensive logic, it makes more sense then Pearl Harbor.
But nobody nowadays should be feeling animosity towards these countries for any of the things you've listed. They're different countries now. For instance, people shouldn't hate Germans (now) because of the atrocities 1940's Germany committed.

Sometimes, people get so caught up in their misguided patriotic ignorance and pride that they forget that the rest of the world is filled with actual people.

Sometimes, these people decide that other people give a shit what they think. It's the job of you - as a decent human being - to prove that you don't.

Didn't America nuke 2 major cities, instantly vapourizing thousands and leading the the total death of millions of Japanese people? they could have said the exact same thing about 9/11. Half those people who write that stuff weren't even alive then, hell their parents probably wernt born yet!

LOL PEARL HARBOR MAKES IT OKAY TO LAUGH

Okay, I'm not a sympathetic person at all, and I have been quoted for saying "Apathy is my middle name" on several occasions, but at least I don't blame Pearl Harbor for this.
It has no relevance whatsoever that the Japanese once went "Fuck, let's be the first to strike and bomb the shit out of Pearl Harbor" when a natural disaster hits Japan. Some might say karmic balance, I say nothing and punch them in the face for being incompetent tossers.

The whole "It's okay to laugh, because..."-thing is stupid in general actually.
I don't laugh, I just don't care, and say what you will, I think that's fair, because I don't find it funny either. I know, as a matter of fact, that if this happened to me, having some foreign douche mock me for something my countrymen did umpteen years ago won't help my situation.
It's like if Denmark was hit by a gigantic meteor, and English people went "Oh, that's cool, they raided our shores and destroyed our cloisters, raped our women and took our stuff."

Next time a natural disaster hits America, such as one of the billion, billion tornadoes ravaging the countryside, maybe we should say that "It's okay, it's just God paying them back for Hiroshima and Nagasaki"?

Yes they are idoits and sadly they seem to pop up everywhere. The thing is if this happened to them they would be the first people complaining that people are not helping them fast enough and its the most terrible thing to ever happen in history.

When new orleans flooded or when Britian had a large mad cow outbreak no one ever said it was "payback". oh okay some extremist christians did but they think everything is a "test or payback"

Anybody who ever claims a natural disaster as "payback" for anything that humans have ever done to another human are a bunch of self absorbed ignorant assholes.

Wait, when did we start talking about the French?

OT: I'm not sure why your upset man, there are idiots all over the world. Just because some random person had the time to make a collage about some idiots on FaceBook, (think about that for a second Facebook, were everyone has a voice) doesn't mean that they represent America. That would be the same thing if I picked up some Football fans from your local pub and told them that their team sucked and then said they represent all of your country. Just seems like everyone is overreacting, just give support to those in need and ignore idiots like this.

Ugh, the ignorance of humans can be truly mind blowing. And these people aren't only found in America (Because not everyone in America is some sort of ignorant redneck asshole, like one of the many stereotypes say.), hell, it doesn't even matter where they come from; the point is that the people who were calling this payback for Pearl Harbor are just disgustingly ignorant humans.

My favorite quote is from Giambi Garcia on the bottom left of the picture.

"stupid japs... no one told y'all to building nuclear power plants... now you gonna give us radiation... assholes"

1) Japs: No one has used the word Jap since 1946.
2) y'all: Anyone who actually types y'all should have their keyboard incinerated.
3) "to building nuclear power plants:" You really should including the word "be" if you want your sentence to understood.

Also:
4) Hiroshima
5) Nagasaki

Wait, you only thought there were 16 ignorant, arrogant people out there? You are far too optimistic when it comes to the human race, my friend.
