There have been assholes like this all of human history- it just sucks that we have social networking to thank for amplifying their proud ignorance or blind bigotry.

I really can't figure out of some of these people are just xenophobic of anything un-American (which also includes Americans that don't LOOK American) and have a knee jerk WWII reaction to bash any country that has ever remotely opposed the United States or if they just had the shittiest history education ever and never realized Japan's involvement with the US after Pearl Harbor. As if they thought that they're FINALLY getting retribution after 70 years of NEVER paying for their Terrorist attacks (OMG JAPANESE ARE TERRORISTS!!! WE NEED TO INVADE JAPAN!!!)

Fuckers.

Please use the search function in the future, not saying all posters are like this.

27 pages, of everything that will most likely be said in this thread.

OT: The "I am not saying every American is like this" and the quoting of the atomic bomb deaths, don't go together as you might think. Especially while saying "you did..." I'm not saying everyone of a group is like this, but this entire group did this. I'm sorry for sounding so angry, but this entire group did this.
I will think about that in the future.

Here's something. Trace whoever is making these offensive posts, images and such. Let everyone in the surrounding area find out their little mutterings of stupidity via posters blatenty exposing their sick minded attitudes.
Then their residence come under assault from the general public, with the occasional dawn raid of the local police who "mistake" their house for a wanted criminals place of residence and generally let it get egged back to the stoneage, which judging by their club grunting mindset wont be too long.

I've got a bored, active imagination but my point is these things don't have a place in society whatsoever. Using the Freedom of speech reasoning for your hatred? Do us a favour and die for it so those with intelligence and consideration behind their voice can make good use of it instead

That's really all there is to it.
Ah, you assume bad stuff happens to people you think deserve it.

I saw this pop up on a right wing forum, most of them tried to justify the nuclear bombs with "well THEY wouldn't surrender so they DESERVED it"

As if not surrendering in a war with America is such an affront that you deserve to be nuked.

Hell is wrong with people?
Huh? That makes so little sense; I'm shocked. Any country back in the 1940s would have gladly nuked their enemies if it meant less causalities for their side.
Here are the pros and cons of a nuke (and a land invasion too).

Launch amphibious assault on Japan. Huge causalities on both sides but Americans lose at least a million soldiers (no, thats a real number). End result: Hundreds of thousands of men die, billions of dollars spent and Americans ***** forever about how stupid that was.

Nuke? A couple of aircraft-carriers get within flying distance of Japan, send off a few planes and proceed to "nuke the bastards." End result: Japs loose tens of thousands of lives (some innocent) and surrenders. America throws a party because they didn't loose every young man it sent to the war.

Now which one sounds better? For the Americans? For the Japanese? Explain your answer. :p

As I said, I don't believe ALL Americans are like this. I have much respect for The U-S-Of-A.
Yeah, me too. That's why I plan to move there. In a country of 316m people you're gonna find a lot of morons. Following a Gaussian IQ distribution there's approximately 79m Americans with a sub-average IQ. But there's approximately 333m Chinese with a sub-average IQ!

Maths.

You have to remember that there are some people who don't count the times they've wronged other countries and so regard every tragedy that befalls others as some form of payback; they don't just exist in the USA either; there was one posh guy at my school who was very much "Why did we get rid of the British Empire? Those savages needed us; look at them now! Ha, well those civil wars, brutal dictatorships and famines will teach them!" I seriously wanted to floor that guy. Not a surprise that he had no friends; no one was "British" enough for him.

Pearl Harbor? Is that their only excuse?

What about all of the fucking men who died in the Europeian front of WW2? No one ever says anything bad when something bad happens to Germany!

But no, sense its japan, they get all of the hatemail.
Agreed!
I think its only that because the Americans are ass holes and don't forgive anyone for shit... They don't forget anything

I love my country, but people like that make it pretty difficult to do. I know that there are people like this everywhere, but it seems that the stupidest Americans are the loudest ones.

Something about an empty room echoing more loudly comes to mind here.

I love how they're calling it "revenge for Pearl Harbor". I thought the two nukes America dropped on them was revenge enough.

...No, it's just that people won't really want to be friends with people who hate people for war events that happened before they were alive.

Uhh, that's an extremely callous, malicious way to take it, that we lose nothing and they lose hundreds of thousands of innocent women and children(No, not "some", that's weasel wording), it created animosity towards the US that to this day survives, it continues to be a contentious political issue, and it was one of the most terrible acts of genocide committed.

Furthermore, we were going to keep nuking civilians, as in, until they were either all dead or surrendered, we intended to keep preparing bombs and dropping them, it would have totaled a significant portion of the country's civilian population.

How, might I ask, would that be different from the genocide the Nazis were committed to? The reason I so detest it is because we nearly walked a very dark path, the path of our enemies, it is easy to wipe out millions of innocent lives to win a war, it is right to win with your soul intact.
And an assault on a urban area wouldn't have caused thousands of civilian causalities?

I think you missed the whole point. Yes there was civilian causalities but overall, less people died. The Japanese had a very large army based on Japan (it being there capital and all) and the attacker usually takes very heavy losses. Millions of people would've died. Now tell me; how many people died in the bombings? I understand your concern but I believe the war pigs made the right (if there is such a thing) decision.

Look at it like this; they saved the lives of millions. Both Japanese and American.

Many of the stupider Americans seem to indoctrinate their children into believing America is the only worthwhile country and that they are special.
I only theorize that, but either way there are some Americans that aren't too bright.

Particularly the ones that visit Canada in the summer for a skiing trip in southern Ontario.

I'm not saying all americans are like that.
just the ones that believe I have a pet polar bear that I feed wild penguins to.

Americans are typically like bullies; any injury they take as a personal insult. They dish out the pain arrogantly enough yet bawl and whine when they have to take it.

Good call seeing as you obviously know every American personally.......But I will say as an American that America is far from perfect, and that in my personal opinion people like those from that picture don't deserve the Freedom of Speech our country so highly values.

And G-d help those suffering in Japan.
