Lately, I've been having troubles finding a game I'd like to settle down with and beat. I think the last game I actually completed was Ocarina of Time as a child, and KoToR 1. I got KoToR 2 and I've sunk about six hours into it so far but I haven't had the dedication to pick it up once every day or two. Skyrim, I'm... just, no; Morrowind thank you very much.

So, I want your help on deciding which game I should play for the next while; and attempt to complete. I'm going to list off all the games I currently own but don't have installed, or haven't beaten. And I'm going to create a poll for the games I'm most interested in investing some time into right now.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
Star Wars: Empire at War
Star Trek: Starfleet Command Volume II: Empires at War
American Conquest: Three Centuries of War
Stronghold II
Civilization III / IV
Grand Theft Auto IV
Fable: The Lost Chapters (I've beaten the regular game)
Two Worlds
TES IV: Oblivion (I've completed 99% of it before)
TES V: Skyrim (This game annoys me, very much; sort of)
Dragon Age II
Sim City IV: Deluxe Edition
The Sims: Double Deluxe Edition
Need For Speed: Most Wanted (Again, 99%)
Quake IV
Minecraft (Never been to the Nether, or the End; I quit playing actively before the Combat Update)
Terraria

The ending of KotoR 2 isn't particularly the focus, if you're enjoying the game whilst you're playing it right now, continue playing it for that enjoyment because it's an awesome game (you're playing TSLRCM right? It's still awesome without, but if you can have it installed yous hould), but discovering the party-members backstory is the only thing to actually work towards (they have great backstories though).

If it's Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2005 the story is the same cheesyness all the way through, but it could be satisfying to actually finish it and it might not be that hard, especially if you're 99% there.

No, just regular KotoR 2; The Sith Lords. Could you elaborate? Is it a mod?

And, NFS:MW I finished 99% on the Xbox (Rented it when I was a lad), but I got it for the computer not too long ago as it was at a thrift store for $5. I'm thinking of buying the new one when funds allow, as I really liked having cop chases for as long as possible, and it would be fun to have a new storyline and start from scratch.

Ah it's fun to get to introduce people to this =D The Sith Lord Restored Content Mod, which can be found, amongst other places, here, is a complete overhaul of the game, restoring all the content that was cut but left on some of the original Xbox discs (it's a PC only mod though), that makes the game more stable, fills in some plot holes, mildly improves the ending and is generally a small touch of polish that Obsidian didn't have the time to give.

A few pieces of the restored content is a little rough (mainly the M4-78EP but I think that's skippable) but generally it's just a much improved way to play the game. They aimed to only do bug fixes and add things that were meant to be in the game but were cut for time, so you're still getting the original experience.

I would say Morrowind, though I can tell you that I never really got into it. I started with Oblivion and that has always been my favorite. If you haven't actually finished Oblivion (The main story), I would suggest playing that. And the dlc story packs are really fun if you can find them.

I'm really bad at not finishing games, but what I do play I have fun playing it. I would like to sit down and just finish a game one of these days. I think the last game I beat was Mirror's Edge when I repurchased a copy for ps3.

Okay, I checked out a couple mods for the game when I was putting some time into it regularly (I still only have 6.5hours in it though); but I didn't see that one. I'll definitely check it out then, sounds cool. While we're still discussing KoToR 2, I'd like to ask, are there any decent comprehensive texture pack overhauls for it? I see lots of mods that only replace a few texture packs, or update a video to HD, but I'd like a single easy download and install w/out conflicts.

I started with Oblivion as well, but Morrowind has come to be my forte for a variety of reasons which I won't get into. I did the entire Dark Brotherhood storyline w/ Oblivion and loved it dearly, and I got to the very end of Oblivion's main quest line when Dagoth Ur is smashing up the temple. A big surprise/spoiler that I found out long after I stopped playing oblivion was that Martin, turns into a fucking dragon! (Wut?)

I originally had the vanilla box which looks like the Mysterium Xarxes; but I decided when Skyrim came out to buy the GotY edition; I still haven't played it due to mod crashes before I even do shit all.

With Skyrim, I have 250 hours clocked. And, this is where my friends say "What?!" when I tell them, I still haven't completed the main storyline. Or... any of them. I haven't even gotten the Horn of Jorgen Windcaller yet, and I haven't gotten further than lvl 37 before starting a new character because I had to kill off the previous one.

That would be Mehrunes Dagon, not Dagoth Ur. Dagoth Ur is the antagonist of Morrowind.

OT: I voted Morrowind, primarily because of how much more I enjoyed, and still enjoy, Morrowind compared to KotOR II. I've played hundreds and hundred of hours on Morrowind, on so many different characters. It is a fantastic game with a great story, and the immersion is (for me personally anyway) far better than Skyrim or Oblivion. There is also a 2012 graphical overhaul for it that makes it look tons better while still keeping in the original art style.

If you were putting in time a while back it might not have been released by then, and this is the first time I've seen it on any website but it's own (http://deadlystream.com/forum/forum/4-tslrcm/) so missing it might be easy to do if you don't know it exists, but even if you don't want the restored content that much, it's easily worth it just for the pages and pages of bug fixes.

I'm afraid I don't know any comprehensive texture packs. You can improve the resolution of the in game films, but there aren't that many of them so it#s not worth while

EDIT: Wait a sec. I was just scrolling through the list of mods compatible with TSLRCM and I came across this
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=205656
I've never tried it before, so I can't tell you how good it is, but I'm definitely going to be checking it out on my next playthrough. It sounds like they need you to download a free program first before you install them. It might be worth checking out. To be honest, from the screenshots, I'm not 100% sure the mods really an improvement

Instead of any of those, gather some friends up and give DotA 2 a go. It's got a steep learning curve but is mad fun.

Yes thanks for the correction, I've been up all night... again. And yes, I'm an avid fan/user of MGSO3.0. If I won the lottery and was able to retire, I would definitely give that modding team a well deserved paycheck.

I voted KOTOR2 cuz I just find the game to be easier to get into than Morrowind, but I love both... My other two recommendations would be Warcraft III (and its expansion if you can find it, I love those games) or Fable TLC. I own it for the original xbox and its about the only game I still play on there, I love that game too.

I'm a League of Legends player. I've played a couple of DotA 2 matches, and it's fairly good; but I'm not going to pick up another MobA. I still haven't learned all the champions in LoL, and I see no point in trying to gain skill in another game of that nature.

I'm also not a fan of 5v5, so DotA 2 will have to come up with a 3v3 map before I become interested.

*Speaking of which, anyone who does not have a copy feel free to PM me; I have 5 copies to give out.

If you're still interested in the mod, I've found it here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-sith-lords-restored-content-mod-tslrcm when I was replaying the game last year. The links should still work fine to download

Alright, it is decidedly so; that I will be playing KotoR 2 first. After which, I will finally get around to making a solid character on Morrowind and going hard on the main storyline; instead of side-quests.

Was, I supposed to be amazed? Because I wasn't. I've seen mention of MechWarrior before, it was never my thing. I'm more into internet spaceships... pew pew! All those tiny little explosions, in all that cold, dark space.

Errrr. Through your choice of words I am getting the distinct impression that I personally offended you by being playfully enthusiastic with my presentation.

Ha, sorry about that. I wasn't trying to come off as rude, but I see now I was. Sorry for that. I just wasn't very interested in the game, and your *enthusiastic* approach made it seem like you thought it was the best game ever!

Thanks for the suggestion though, it does look like an interesting game; just not my forte. As I said, Internet Spaceships are more my thing.

However, I would be VERY interested if there was a Matrix Mecha game; y'know those weird things they have in the final movie? Yeee, that'd be cool. *Sniffle* R.I.P Matrix Online

I'm thoroughly enjoying KotoR 2 now that I'm doing stuff on Telos; my previous save @ 6.75hrs was in Hyperspace - shortly after leaving Peragus.

That has got to be the LONGEST introduction I've played in any game, the only introduction I can think of that comes close is well, the first game. I guess it's a necessary process though, Obsidian is very good at setting a mood/atmosphere in their games. I remember playing KotoR as a kid, and just loving it!

I can't help but notice that they cheesed out on the graphics in the second one. I remember the first game having better textures; could've just been my naive eyes though.

That's alright, we all make mistakes (especially me).
