Pretty self explanitary tell us what type of gamer you would consider yourself and why you would consider yourself to be that.
I would consider my self to be casual, but not in the Wii sense casual, I normally play games for a bit of fun and to just catch up with friends etc.

Indie. I love free games like spelunky, cave story, deathworm, and I love games like world of goo, psychonauts and okami. (I know those last two aren't indie). Basically, I love anything beautiful or clever. But I do play plenty of normal games as well, so I'll go for hardcore.

I don't like labeling myself, but were I to do so I would say hardcore gamer describes me best. But I'm not an elitist about it.

I'd say old school. As in in the old days more people saw gaming as a past time and not something that you HAVE to be good at or HAVE to play for hours to be the big cheese. I really dislike the Hardcore image, that of either a 13 year old child high on sugar yelling over a mic or a fat slob laughing because he killed a new player.

But this purely depends on your difination of Hard core etc. I'd say I'm a gaming euthusist ratber than a actual gamer.

Sillying youngins!

I use to be hard core until people started making garbage, not only that but easy garbage as well. So I'm now a classic/casual.

Casual to Hardcore probably... On a good day, I'm unstoppable, but those days are every now and again, not 6 days per week.

Somewhere between Casual and Hardcore. Probably old school if Gingerman's definition is right.

Maybe someone could give me some guidelines for each label, so I know what to call myself.

I'd say casual because I only game when I don't really have anything better to do. That said, I wouldn't think of a casual gamer completing Mass Effect 4 times or putting 120 hours into Oblivion. So, erm... just a recreational gamer?

I'm like you, you can be casual and play a few hours a day yet still rack it up on one game I guess

ex-hardcore; my PS3 broke and now all I have to rely on for games is my Ipod Touch and Macbook... oh yes, I'm one of those, I'm an Apple Fanboy X3

I'd say oldschool. Not in the sense that I always say that old game x is better than new game y. But in the sense that gaming is a past time. 1 that is played occasionally, but is loved. I love to play games and I am a "gamer", but that doesn't mean I slave over games.
