Poll: What universe do you think would be ripe to become an MMO?

Harry Potter and Naruto most definitely. Simply because in those two universes anyone can be special in some way. The others not so much... A Doctor Who game would be freakin' sweet but it's just not MMO material. I'm sure the Twilight-tards would love a Twilight MMO so they could all oggle their sparkly vampire idol... @_@

Grim Fandango. Create your own skeleton. Spend one day at the cat races, another day at one of the chic bars with the hippie skeletons, take a stroll through the petrified forest before celebrating day of the dead... man, that would be awesome.

Discworld would also be awesome. Especially the darker Discworld Noir universe. With the option to sign up as a member of the watch and report to Vimes and Vetinari.

Warhammer 40k would make for a great MMO.

hell yeah, give me a Khorne berzerker with a chain axe and I wouldn't even begin to brag about unbalance while tormenting puny Guardsmen.

Warhammer 40k, you have guns, aliens and a religious dictatorship.

They're already making an MMO out of that, sadly an MMORPG and not an MMOFPS ala Planetside like I (and many others) wish for.

Anyway, since the W40k universe is already taken, I would vote for the Starcraft universe, but that's not in the list.

Starcraft would be good too, although its not as fleshed out as Warhammer 40k (and was probably inspired by Warhammer given the Zerg are the Tyranid, the Protoss are the Eldar, and the Human soliders are Space Marines).

I'm with this guy! A ready made universe full of campaigns varying worlds lots of different races and classes and the already set up idea of a universe in never ending war would give a Warhammer 40k universe depth and a continuing plot, not too mention the range of vehicles and vicious weaponry (even the chance to engage in space battles between campaign worlds, it could even help decide reinforcements if the ships can ake ti etc im going to stop cos i feel the ideas for this MMOG can go on!). I dnt think a doctor who one would work u can't give the doctor a gun it would take away from his genius charm its always difficult to adapt popular characters and shows to games without destroying them completely!

You need to change it, OP, and put an option for 'other'. As a massive Doctor Who fan I chose that on the list, but the two I really want to see are Firefly (as I've stated so often here before) and Warhammer 40,000. For the former, it could be set during the series so that you start out in the Wars of Independence, then make your own way during the peace after (including perhaps having missions where you could end up interacting in real time with characters as they complete tasks and stuff from the series or the film). As for Warhammer, it could be set from the start of the Horus Heresy and then you make your own history in whatever race you choose, facing other races in combat in the style of games like Fire Warrior. Make it an MMOFPS. Now that would be something I'd have no problem subscribing for.
