Pros:
Regenerating health paired with long kill times which allow for "I actually outplayed that guy (if I used a weapon that wasn't cheap)" kills instead of "Oh I saw him first so I won with my ADS required, all purpose, instant kill time AR" kills in most modern shooters.
Good Infection gametypes on good maps. Halo 3 particularly had access to good custom games because it only used forged maps.
The Needle Rifle... Christ that gun is awesome.
The Energy Sword paired with Evade, awesome CQC loadout that has some survivability.
Campaign that isn't bad. It's really fun to play on co-op assuming you have a friend.
The Halo Reach Beta, particularly Generator Defense (when it didn't lag) and the early version of of Invasion. [http://files.sharenator.com/AYAW_Are_You_A_Wizard-s500x664-149176-580.jpg]
Cons:
I have to start with the weapons the gametype tells me to start with. If I want to play with the shotgun I have to be sure not to die with it in addition to being the first person to pick it up in the first place. Do people honestly think this is a power weapon in comparison to the ranged/all purpose CE Pistol, BR or DMR? For fucks sake, that was a reason enough for me to sell Reach, H3 and ODST.
Dying to ACTUAL power weapons. The Sniper and Rockets are cheap and overpowered because not everyone has access to them and they're being faced off against lesser weapons. Unfair advantage is unfair, if you disagree then you obviously enjoy kicking babies with steel toed boots.
Reach added bloom incorrectly so it basically added RNG into a firefight.
Halo 1-3 have had SLOW movement speed. Seriously, the best thing about Reach are Sprint and Evade because they let you get around the map quickly.
Bad Infection Gametypes, particularly Reach's Infection playlist. The maps are way too easy to camp on the the zombies are ridiculously underpowered.
Campaign that isn't good. I can't think many "WOW" moments in this series other than CE's Flood reveal and H2's Scarab rapage.

It's a console FPS. They all have exactly the same thing wrong with them. FPS's cannot be controlled comfortably with console controllers.
I like being able to lean back in my chair with a controller in any position instead of having an uncomfortable and awkwardly shaped keyboard on my lap or on a table with a flat surface next to me for a mouse, thanks.
