Poll: What was your favorite console of the last generation?

For me it has to be the Gamecube. It has a great library and lots of replay value whereas i only used the xbox only for Halo. I never had a ps2 but i have heard good things about it. What was your favorite console of the last generation?

I liked the PS2 the most, It has my favorite series of all time on it (Jak and Daxter) and I enjoyed all the games it had. I also liked the Xbox but not as much as the PS2.

I had nothing but a GameCube until I bought the 360 at launch. So it's GameCube for me.

As much as I love the Dreamcast, in terms of gaming library, variety, and quality, the PS2 is one of, if not the best, system ever made.

PS2 is still running strong in my house...was mine...then was my oldest son's circa 2003, now plays vids/CDs and games for younger sons.

Gamecube, PS2 had some very good games, but in terms of quality games I prefered Gamecube.

The Sega frikken Dreamcast!

I hate to sound like a Hipster, but I think it was better than all three combined (I do own all four though).

It was the last console made for gamers by gamers, and I think it is the best console ever made.

Probably The gamecube. Its still in my top 3 most played Consoles, Along with the N64 and my PC. Even tough i own a playstation 3, never really used it.

PS2. Tons of classics and doubles as a dvd player that I still use it for regularly. And it has backwards compatibility with all my PS1 games. Win.

Thats tough. I had both the PS2 and the GC, and both had great things going for them.

PS2, it had the best game library of any console. SOOO many games and a great deal of good "classic" games. I love the Playstation 2 controllers. I didn't like gamecubes buttons, they seemed all over the place. The Xbox controller was too big for my pre-teen hands to hold and play effectively. Furthermore, PS2 was an era when Sony still had several great exclusive titles like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Grand Theft Auto (eventually ported to Xbox), and Shadow of the Colossus (an oft used example of video game art).
