isnt it more likely to be SQUIRT + TURTLE seeing as sqirtle is nothing like a squirrel and most squirrels dont really roll their tails up like that

Hey, I just found that picture off the internet somewhere. But... squirrels in a lot of childrens drawings and books do have their tail curled like that, so the Pokemon creators could have been going off of that.

I'm just saying Squir/squirt could apply to both water and squirrels.
