We're talking about a game that's basically one big QTE, being reviewed by a man who hates QTEs more than anything, and has made a career out of dissing the crap out of any game that comes his way. He'll do the review, he'll rip Heavy Rain apart like Wolverine with rabies, and it'll be awesome!

I voted no, because he will be saying "If I wanted to see a movie, I would have rather saved the 40 dollars and saw a fucking movie."
I too thought that was the case, but it's a lot more interactive than I thought, judging from the demo. Especially the dialogue system is one of the best I've ever seen, it's a lot more RPG-like than I anticipated. If Mass Effect 3 would copy Heavy Rain's dialogue system, I would totally nerdgasm.

I actually have the feeling that he would praise the dialogue system. But of course, hate the QTE's.

Buuuut, Yathzee has done some unexpected things before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he would actually like the way QTE's are executed in Heavy Rain.

I saw a video of it and it look like it was quicktime hell which I'm bloody sure he won't like.

So my vote goes on No.

So many ZP threads lately... even more than usual.

No, he won't like it. Have you not noticed he doesn't like anything?

I'm one of the few who find his reviews unamusing.

And I honestly couldn't give a toss what he says.

The only good video on the escapist these days is Movie Bob.

He might like it. But will probably be able to pick out a good few faults, probably concerning gameplay.

He said at some point that Point-and-Click Adventure games have died out because games can have gameplay and story, and not one or the other.

I feel like this may crop up again in the review. I don't think he will mind the QTEs though.

in one of his reviews he said that QTEs were not bad when they were a core gameplay mechanic and heavy rain being this kind of game, he might actually like it. however, from the trailers and demos ive seen the quick time events might just be a little to vauge as to what they do and that could be frustrating.

If it doesn't suffer from Indigo Prophecy Syndrome, he might like it, I suppose.
The guy who's making Heavy Rain has stated that there will be no supernatural elements to it, but I never got the whole "indigo prophecy syndrome" thing.

Yeah, aren't games more expensive in Australia? so $90 maybe?

OT:
He might like it, the immersion factor steps in here, as it depends just how immersed you get into the game, according to reviews.

The only thing to do, is to watch, wait, and do other things, as we wait.

He will like it and he will make it out like he doesn't, in order to appease the ZP fanbase.

He'll hate it, but say that it is a step in the right direction for those types of games.
