Assuming i will be mingling with other superhero types such as myself i would say that i would have a power like Peter Petrellis'; being able to absorb the powers of others. Except i would take it one step further and would be able to analyse the power of someone and then decide for myself if i want that persons power, instead of it being an automatic thing. And taking your power wouldn't mean you would not have it anymore btw, i would just copy it and store it in my body for use whenever i want, i would be the ultimate superhero because i would have everyone else powers, beat that Mr Charismatic, i would steal your power and we would have a charismatic standoff, i like the sound of that

I want the superpower to have any superpower I want
I would choose to have all the world's wisdom, maybe with a heaping helping of unshakeble resolve and composure to go with it. No matter what you have, or what you can do, I'll think of something. And unlike most of the rest of these I can actually do the world a lot of good while I'm at it.
And while I was typing that I couldn't help but remember a cartoon I saw where Superman was heading over to punch Batman through the wall, and Batman just whips out some kryptonite and says: "It doesn't take much, does it?" And the way Bats always had all the answers...

The problem I have with Batman is the level of fanboydom, and what it means to him. I once saw a mind-controlled Martian Manhunter try to kill Batman, had him by the throat and everything, and yet Batman still survived, now Martian Manhunter is about as strong as Superman is, even an extraordinary human like batman wouldn't stand a chance in hell of avoiding a broken neck from MM's grip. I've seen things like this happen so often that it isn't funny and it's lame as hell. I did like the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited series, as alot of the time in combat you would see Batman getting his ass beaten by a clearly physically superior foe, but one who isn't so outside his league (physically) that the villain should have popped his head off in one swing. The exception to this was when he was fighting Darkseid but Darkseid is so arrogant that he wouldn't use his full strength on one as inferior as Batman, so it is excusable if Darkseid didn't just kill him, but I do think Batman avoiding the Omega beam was crap, for those of you who don't know Darkseid is a powerhouse roughly superman grade only he can't fly he doesn't need to, he has so many dirty tricks that only a few people can handle him, one being Superman(barely) another being Amazo, Hal Jordan (most powerful green lantern in existence) Dr. Fate(maybe) and maybe a handful of others. Darkseid's Omega beam is a projection from his eyes which has a variety of uses, although he typically just kills people with it, this thing moves at the speed of light and can turn around corners and is generally a pain in the ass to avoid, since Batman is the only one proven to be able to do it.
I'm sorry, but if i may(with the TCs' permission of course)temporarily "take over" this thread and assign it to be a "recruting" thread of sorts for super villains and super heroes who want to partake in a City of Heroes type roleplay that i'm thinking of putting together. You can still post the powers you would want etc here but if you want to be in the roleplay could you send me a PM with your superhero/villain name and your power(1 per each person and no two people can have the same power i'm afraid)and if you want to send a background of your character or anything then by all means send it and i'll work it in. Can't give you a date for when i plan to post it though, up to my neck in work atm so pretty busy doing other stuff but rest assured i will get around to it.
Btw, my superpower is(in case people haven't read my post)akin to that of Peter Peterellis' from Heroes, i can absorb the powers of other superheroes/villains around me making them my own, like a human sponge, absorbing their power however does not take their power from them, it copies it and stores it within my body so i can recall it at will. But i'm going one step further with my power and making it so that i can detect and clarify the powers that other heroes/villains have and decide whether i want a copy of their power or not, so it's not an automatic thing like with Peters' ability, but once i've decided, my power kicks in passively and before you can say "bob's your uncle" i have your power and i'm using it.
So that is my power, Khedive Rex has already called dibs on the power of Charisma so that's his power sorted, if you wanna send me the specifics of your power mate then that would help a great deal, thanks.
And to everyone else who wants to contribute, i can't wait to hear some of your ideas
Oh, and chuck me ideas about the story too, i'm not too good at coming up with stories but i'm damn good at writing them, that doesn't make any sense lol.

The ability to force any number of people, anywhere, at any time, to burst into 'spontaneous' song and dance, like a real life musical. Songs are about whatever I choose, choreography is excellent and in perfect sync with whomever my victim is dancing with. Take that, charisma boy!

pyrokenesis is pointless, just have telekensis and you can control fire, AND everything else.

Think about this a moment. How many times have you been trapped somewhere with nothing to do but WAIT for two hours for something? Now imagine being able to just travel forward in time and skip the whole mind-numbing boredom. Yahtzee not updating until next week? Just travel forward in time one week. This is the only power that would really let you live your life to its fullest.
And you can do things like assassinate Hitler and bang Lady Chatterly and stuff like that, too.
