I'll get it under 2 conditions: 1. it has awesome games I want to play and 2. they can prove that it is "significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360".

I'll probably end up buying it on principle. I've been with the company my whole life, and as long as titles keep their quality, I'll be with them for quite some time yet, I'd imagine. I don't mind motion control from time to time, but an actual controller would do wonders for me. New Mario, Zelda, Paper Mario, Smash Bros, Metroid titles would all be compulsory, of course. And, like the Wii, I can still hope for a new Mother title.

The only reason I bought a Nintendo Wii in the first place was because of a rumored title of a Kingdom hearts being released. But even though, I still had fun with it. The only major things that will get me the buy this new console would be
1. A sequel to Castlevania: Judgement (I liked Aeon alot)
2. Skyward Sword (Still Skeptical because I dont turn into a mythical wolf in this one)
3. Another Animal Crossing (It gave me something to do while bored)
Other than Game-Wise, Just don't have Motion Control as a "NEED" with the good games.

Ditch motion control. Better 3rd Party support. Higher graphic capabilities (I don't care but developers tend to smush their creations to mushy sad versions of it compared to the other consoles, or not release it at all and that makes me a sad panda.)

Yup those sound like the big 3.

With the Wii's successor recently announced for late 2012, which features are you interested in and which features would put you off of the console.
What feature would make me buy the Wii's successor?

A feature where a magical genie appears out of it to grant me wishes.

Or possibly if it dispensed chocolate lesbians. Chocolate male strippers would work too.

Or if it had a mode where it sent out robots to clean my house.
I have a sneaking suspicion that you are going to be disappointed

My Reasons:
1 is most important.

5. Release Titles (Super Smash Bros. ftw.)
4. Gamecube Compatability in some way (The GameCube was Nintendo's last great console.)
3. Graphics (Seriously, the Wii's graphics werent even an improvement over the gamecube.)
2. FIXED ONLINE MULTIPLAYER WITH GAMERTAGS, ACHIEVMENTS ETC. (Do you catch my drift Nintendo?)
1. No, no, NO Motion Controlls. (This will never happen.)

Here's the thing. I've never owned a nintendo console. Way back in the day, my console was the Colecovision. And now I'm Xboxing it.

If I bought a second console it would be a PS3.

So what would convince me to pick up a Wii2?
1) I can 't be too expensive.
2) It has to have 5+ games that are exclusive that I want to play...and that means: mature AAA RPGs, Horror, Adventure titles.
3) It can't be a generation behind in terms of graphics/processing power.

I don't care about Zelda or Mario. I like Dreamfall, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Silent Hill. Can you deliver those experiences? And can you deliver them exclusively so that I can't just keep playing them on my Xbox?

Right now Heavy Rain and further Quantic Dream titles are exclusive to the PS3...if there is going to be anything that will get me to buy the PS3 it is that (and Uncharted).

Can the Wii2 do that for me? Can the Wii convince me to put off getting a PS3 and Heavy Rain because they have the most awesome exclusives? Will they have some exclusive like LA Noir? Or Heavy Rain? Something that makes me yearn for it? If they can produce 5 of those? Then I'll do it.

But I don't see that happening.

Please add "has nintendo flagship titles"

I'll basically buy any console that runs metroid games.

If it came with an unlimited supply of money.

Really, Nintendo pretty much killed themselves for me this generation.

I chose other: Nintendo would have to pay me a redonkulous amount of money to even go near one of their products.

After reading this in the news I'm actually holding a little bit of hope on this one. I loved Nintendo as a kid but never bothered with the Wii. If they announced it with some awesome launch titles that would be awesome. But I'd be more interested in seeing something new and innovative that doesn't feel like a gimic like the Wii, in short something unique that isn't going to lose its appeal after the first week.

Well... I like Nintendo games. It's why I bought an N64, Gamecube, and Wii. That's why I'll buy the next console.

You can't really judge a system on a launch titles. I mean if we did, the PS3 would have been the worse current gen system ever (and let's face it, it was pretty dismal at first)

Plus... :D it's just fun to see a new console after so long, looking forward to seeing what it actually is like!

Really awesome exclusives that are not Mario, Zelda, or Donkey Kong related. For the most part I have no interest in Nintendo IPs and since the company as a whole seems to hate online play, achievements, and practically everything else I enjoy about gaming the only that will convince me to buy a "Wii 2" would be more then few really awesome can't live without games exclusive to the new system.
