Depends on why they are angry at me and if they are known to show any sort of mercy.
If it is 1000 merciful dudes who I only mildly aggravated, then I'd surrender.
If it is 1000 merciless dudes who I thoroughly pissed off, I'd fight to the death.

I would KICK REASON TO THE CURB AND GO BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE! Or more likely just kill as many as I could before I got gunned down. But I would try, and I would make sure it would cost them dearly.
Fight to the end (Denial)
Surrender and hope for mercy (Acceptance)
Pray for divine intervention (Bargaining)
Make some kind of escape attempt (Another form of denial)
Wait for the inevitable (Depression)
Denial sounds good to me. Dress up like them, walk backwards out of the area. When that doesn't work, fight to the end.

Human beings, I fight to the end. If it was zombies, shoot myself in the face right on the spot.
all people who are saying they would fight as a badass are lying. Everybody would probably shit themselves and probably try to put up a fight or get into the fetal position but would definately die. That or the first part and trying to escape.

Its actually kind of happened this morning. Was doing team Army combatives. My team blew, and I was left alone to take on 5 people. It took them 4 minutes to pin all my limbs and try to choke me (the guy doing it failed). I only tapped out when the female nailed me square in the family jewels.
So, my answer? Cover my groin and charge in to the masses.

I would like to think I would fight, but in reality I would probably just stand there and wait for the inevitable.

2. I got mixed up - I assumed you meant anyone who would fight was lying. Not being a bad ass.

I'm still at a loss as to why 'try to escape' was even thrown into the poll, especially when it's been established in the OP that it's impossible.

the lesson here is that if you think it's impossible then it will in your head. if not, then it won't.
also i'd like to point out the Chevalier de Bayard, also known as "the knight without fear and beyond reproach" who in the not so famous battle of Garigliano, fought with his 3 or 4 hundred men against 1500 spaniards (with artillery), having to battle in retreat, he let the survivors escape through a small bridge where he stood ground against 200 spanish soldiers alone, coming one by one, and yet survived for many more heroic battles.

Being a tad more serious now (can you be any more serious when you're talking about Warhammer 40,000?), I would of clicked Fight To The End, but I chose Pray for Divine Intervention and -you know the rest-
My rational side would urge me to run like hell.
But my insanity which is far more powerful then my rationality will push me to charge my enemies and make them pay for every ounce of blood that leaves my body...
And hopefully I'll one day have a Cracked article written about me, which is the most any hero can hope for...
