A tactical RPG of some kind, or something with more customizable stats. Or both.

I'd sure as hell like a Kingdom Hearts 3. Enough with the spin-off games, already.
Wasn't it actually announced like 3 years ago but noone has really heard anything of it since?

A Final Fantasy Tactics sequel. I'd love to see another game with Bloody Angel & co in action. Heck, make them the protagonists. That would be awesome.

Or how about taking stab at an Action RPG in 16-bit? Everyone knows how awesome that era was, why not take a page out of Capcom's book?

Just, please no more remakes.

Well, they're putting some vigor into fallen franchises that they've bought-out over the years. So I'm okay with what they're doing now. They're breathing life into Deus Ex, for starters, and any gamer from the start of the decade should respect that.

Some other worthy titles being supported by Square Enix are Thief 4, which is being developed by Eidos Montreal, makers of the aforementioned Deus Ex title. Also, Square is publishing Hitman 5.

These 3 titles alone, will garner a "nuff said" from me.

A couple other interesting titles that need new life breathed into them, and that Squeenix owns IP rights to, are Tomb Raider and the oft forgotten Parasite Eve.

Innovation would be nice. Maybe ditch the Final Fantasy title all together? It really doesn't make any difference, seeing as the games really aren't related to begin with. It's just a lazy sales tactic rather than an actual canon universe.

And... maybe a decent localization team. I'm sick of decent dialogue and plot lines getting ruined by hamhanded translations and dubbing. Final Fantasy XII is the only SquareEnix game I can bring to mind that wasn't guilty of this. I know the dub teams don't have a lot to work with, but take some creative license, people!
I disagree with throwing out the Final Fantasy title altogether. True, the games don't have anything to do with each other but they do share common elements. It would be depressing to think that I'd never play another game that had phoenix downs, chocobos, Bahamut, or cactuars ever again.
I'm sorry Tragic, I failed to explain myself properly. I wasn't advocating that chocobos, phoenix downs or any of those lovely connections between the FF games should be thrown out. I'm more questioning whether they should be enough to tie an entire 15+ game franchise together. I think SquareEnix could have just as easily used those common elements as an iconic trademark in the games they make instead of as a justification for roping all of those vastly different games under the same title. All the games take place in completely different universes canon-wise, so other than the obvious marketing benefits, there is really no reason why they should all be under the same Final Fantasy name.

I guess I'm rambling, because I really don't have a solution for this particular conundrum. They won't stop making Final Fantasy games, and I understand why they wouldn't, I just don't think that they should have called them all "Final Fantasy" in the first place. My only real argument for retiring the FF franchise is that working outside of it might inspire some innovation at Square. Nostalgia only gets you so far, and I think Square's take on the genre could use a serious overhaul.

I would like them to release a PS3 retail title containing all of their original Final Fantasy games prior to 7, so Final Fantasy all the way upto number 6. So far all of those re-releases have been on the DS and I DON'T HAVE IT!!!

Personally... I'd like to see nothing!

They've purchased several studios who's games I liked and turned those studios into mass-producing, unoriginal prostitutes.

As far as I'm concerned SquareEnix can go die somewhere. Maybe the employees will go out and found decent studios again!

Final Fantasy XV: The Quest for... Wait... WTF were we just doing again?

Remake FF7 you stupid shits!

Failing that, give us 6!

They would print money! Do you have any idea how many times they have remade Tactics and 4? DO YOU!? I fucking hated 4! Why is it getting ANOTHER remake!? I just...don't get it.
One of the escapist employees already went over this at some point. People are underestimating it. There is a differentce between giving a game slightly shinier yet still shit graphics, and doing what people expect for Final Fantasy 7.

lets say they JUST update thwe graphics, well they basically had top rebuild the entire world for that. Step 1 done. Now update how everything interacts, now the controls, now etc...

Oh wait, you mean they have to rebuild the entire game from scratch? Just for better graphics? Shit... Didn't see that coming. Educate yourself before you call a company a bunch of stupid shits. The process would cost them ALOT of money and believe it or not, it's cheaper to slightly tweak another game or make a new one.
