Love is simply the brain finding the most suitable companion for you to mate with and reproduce.

That is the logical answer, the other one (that one I currently feel anyway) is the feeling that you never want to be without them and always wake up and fall asleep next to them.

it's that feeling you get where you feel like you could spend all of life with them by your side, and who see's your faults, but looks past them, etc. someone who make you happy to still be alive.

Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds.


Seriously, I just consider it something is not easily described and lots of people will say something different. I would say it just something you know to be true. You either know it's what you have, or it's not what you have.

OT: To me, love is enjoying being with someone and you're not sure why you enjoy it. You know them, you care for them, and you would do anything for them but for reasons that you can't figure out. That's love to me.

Love is a chemical.

Break it down and eventually that's what you'll find. There might be a range of emotions triggered by it, but when it comes down to it love is a chemical response to your body trying to force you to stay with, or get someone. The theory goes that love means the kids have a better chance of surviving with both partners staying together to raise them, hence love. (There are a few other benefits too).

Sorry to get scientific on you, but it rather irritates me to see people make love out to be some mystery, it can be wonderful and cause a crazy emotional rollercoaster, but it's no mystery, it's quite a simple concept, with often complex repercussions.

I think love is when you can commit to someone to the point where you'll put their need in front of your own... and be happy doing it. That and enjoying the moments spent with one another.

There's alot of ways to explain it and I can go on forever about it, but I think what I said is a pretty good example.

Lust is the spark that is experienced when the biological response to excitement has been triggered and is considered the sibling to love. With the proper nurturing, lust can blossom into love or slowly sour into jealousy, resentment or regret.

I don't know. I've never been loved really nor have I been in love before. At least I don't think it was love.

I can't say I know what love is. I've had my heart crushed so many times in the past that I'm amazed that it's not a whithered and dry piece of meat barely keeping me alive, but I'm still looking for love.

It's somewhere out there. I just have to find it. Hopefully I'll at least have some sort of physical and emotional attraction before I die of old age or commit suicide

Nurturing and protection.

Understand and acceptance.

And, in the case of romantic relationships, Sexual desire.

Love at first site is generally seeing a person who physical appeals to you greatly.

Love as some sort of force that magically seeks people out as well as the concept of "There is one perfect person out there you are destined for.... Not so much...
